Re: Time to end this circus: Claude has to go

Careful Nick, your privilege may be showing…the ‘green circled’ pilots had been around earning their career before the non green pilots. The contract, and all of its glory, was voted on as a whole piece and yes, there are, definitely some not so good parts about it such as the slide scale to the le...

Re: Time to end this circus: Claude has to go

Not even considering the expenses, pilots on the new contract should vote for reps that are also on the new contract. Unless you are green circled your interests are not being represented by this MEC. I find it interesting how much unity is preached by ALPA despite the disparities between the green...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

They put effort and energy into this because they’re obligated to pursue this. We were on property when that happened. They will spend money, time and ressource because that’s what we are entitled to. Even if it means 3 hawai trip instead if 4 next year. Also, not alot of us believe it will end in ...

Maybe rent but none of the other stuff is essential to conduct business. Any one of these alone should be enough to trigger a recall. Power corrupts….

Disgusting behaviour if accurate.

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

Sooo, before the union implodes, any updates on the CIRB proceedings? Still stonewalled until ACA MEC is given intervener status? They may never get it. They have applied for it because they were thrown out of the room. Would be a pretty big relief if intervener status is denied. It would indicate ...

Re: Jaz Executive Spending

Most of the work CB has done recently has not gone well. Can someone name something he has done that was seen as a success? - Last MOS was voted in at a dismal 60 something percent, had concessions. Most said the company would be back to table, Jazz has just shrunk since. - Scab airlines DOH merger ...

I’m not a fan of CB in the slightest but how do these expenses compare to other pilot unions? Factoring the size of the pilot group to others.

Hopefully after the ULP is settled he just steps down.

Word is 200k + lump sum for every of the 285 affe tes Or full restatement of seniority Congratulation to Jazz pilots. I would much rather have that $200k now instead of a few seniority number. Some of the 285 pilots could receive a 800 number boost in seniority. A totally different game for schedul...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

This is just sad. Almost as sad as signing a 17 yrs deal and then expecting serious gains after the fact. So, to you, the genius that you, are a 42% increase to top Captain wages and company paid benefits is not serious gains. That said is apparently what was rejected by AC, what I ended up with wa...

CB has been a great rep—for those at Jazz with 10+ years of seniority. He handed them the moon, but at the direct expense of the younger generation. His negotiation track record speaks for itself: failure after failure, from the botched PAL/Flow deal to the broader mismanagement of our collective f...

Re: RECALL OF CB

It has become apparent that CB has gambled much time, resources, and his reputation on our ULP strategy on the wrong horses, and wrong strategy…the now resigned ACA MEC Chairwoman and her Vice-Chair. 18 month’s worth. What’s that price tag look like? Probably should be DOGE’d. Any ACA pilots care t...

Yes, ouch! Also, those 11 upgrades will likely be gone before they even do 6 months in the left seat! We need a plan to attract higher time pilots who could upgrade very quickly, 3000 plus two crew environment would be awesome but given even AC is struggling to find applicants over 2000 hours, I’m ...

that would solve problem quickly. No more OTS at AC . you get to jazz, get your number and flow naturally. no interview, you're good for the express, you're good for the bigger toy. I don't know that it would. I don't think it can fix the capt shortage fast enough. They attempted this with the flow...

Something to bear in mind is if you decide to go to Encore, you won’t get to WJ. Jazz is the place to go if you want to get on at WJ. Encore is the best path to AC. No exactly, and ideally I want to end up at AC hence wanting to avoid Jazz - however in the interest of keeping my options open and ta...

CIRB Officer was satisfied progress was being made, and next meeting with the company is scheduled for Feb 2024 Do you when in Feb? and why this hasn't moved onto the next step in the CIRB process? Yup. Just another delay tactic until all 285 somehow retire in 40 years. Good luck getting anything o...

It’s just another “meeting” there’s still more steps to go in the CIRB process. I have a bad feeling that the Jazz MEC will reach an agreement that screws over the folks off jazz property. It’s a meeting with the cirb. This should be the final step. Can’t wait CIRB Officer was satisfied progress wa...

Jazz is once again the lowest paid 705 operator after barely 1 year since their latest 25-50% increase. Welcome to the CDN CPA world where market forces are generally ignored (Jazz/PAL/Encore). Whether that is sustainable remains to be seen. Jazz is once again the lowest paid 705 operator after bar...

Just my 2 cents but if you’re happy where you are stay. Junior schedules are pretty tough. Movement has slowed down quite a bit, this might change in the summer bid however. Pay is still low for the cities we have bases and upgrade times are getting longer.

Nervous, no. I stand by my earlier statement of my expectation that the ACAMEC will get a starting salary of 75-85 per year. I also believe that they will not actually strike and will call off a strike notice by 10:30PM on the eve of the strike. Kind of dumb of me for feeding the troll, but for eve...

60 or so pilots from jazz flowing to AC in the fall? Why arnt they rushing to fill those spots? Because Jazz probably has too many FOs that can’t upgrade in the short term.
