I'm a little surprised that the media hasn't picked up on their inability to make new bookings.
If AC or WJ had a service outage, it would be front page news within the hour.

Re: BAe 146 Runway Overrun
I call BS on comment that only the last part of the runway was icy. I suspect the entire runway was icy, not treated or inspected by the airport operator. I suspect the RJ100 crew did not plan for an icy runway and tried to turn off on taxiway A with a lot of speed. Very likely true, but if you thi...

Re: Thunder Airlines MU2 accident in Wawa
Not a very experienced crew on aircraft type, particularly for a training captain. That said, if you're expecting a plowed runway, it's pretty difficult to tell on approach during low light, the difference between compact snow and unplowed. I've been there myself, and was lucky to only be embarrassed.

Re: Any plans for Socialized bidding?
I find it ironic that Porter pilots are extolling the virtue of seniority bidding, on the basis of a new hire getting the benefit of an expanding airline. This was the same argument that Flair pilots made during their growth phase, until it suddenly ground to a halt. Will Porter pilots still think t...

Previous canadian case law shows that you don't even have to have a WRITTEN agreement.

Re: Jet stream down
It will not be the wrong altimeter setting. They were taking off. The first instrument that affects the crews actions will be the ASI, which triggers the V2 rotate call. The second instrument is the rate of climb indicator, which triggers the "positive rate/gear up" dialogue. I expect that will be ...

Re: Can a training bond that was NOT signed be enforced?

Can they also renege because it wasn't in the employment contract or letter signed by the officers? Is that the same or not? If you search canlii you will find a cas...
