Re: Travel pet peeves

- Every time the FAs "dim the cabin lights" half the flight pushes the FA call button instead of the light. - Everybody crowding around the baggage carousel where the bags dump out and push everybody out of the way to grab their bag which WILL come back around in about 30 secs if they just wait. Re: Plane crash near Lake Muskoka

I'm fairly certain that aircraft used to run for Cloud Air back before they ceased operations. If it was registered Commercially for them, it probably wasn't changed to Private on the ownership change and I'm not sure if you have to or not. Comments?

Re: Hicks & Lawrence

The job itself is a vacation. It'll probably be the most fun job you'll ever have and you'll come out with some decent time and lifelong friends. The year I was there we did about 250 hours, and that was considered low. The pay was ok, there were a couple of bonus' as well. I think it was $500/week,...

Re: Porter

I got the same response as well. I've tried to contact them a few times and they aren't responding. If you haven't had a PFO are you in a hiring pool or something? Or have they just interviewed too many people and don't have the manpower to send out that many PFOs?

I usually go to Dr. Wainwright... they keep a few last minute appointments available for those of us who go "oh shit" two days before it expires!

Which would you choose??

I have two scenarios for doing a float rating/bush course.... 1) Super Cub, apprx $160/hr 2) C172, apprx $260/hr Obviously, the $$ is better with the Super Cub. If you were in the situation of doing a float rating and continuing with a bush course, which one would you pick? Both outfits are in the s...

I agree with King Air Guy. I know a guy that did his ride and botched the forced demo and turned it in to a learning process for the "student" - he got very good feedback about it in the de-brief. I got Slow Flight on mine - know your theory and the lessons. I started going through the theory on it ...

blonde joke

THE BLONDE JOKE TO END ALL BLONDE JOKES.. A blonde calls her boyfriend and says, "Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get it started." Her boyfriend asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?" The blonde says, "According to the pi...
