My question to all of you unhappy people about those contract pilots is : what do you from expect a company with a seasonal operation, a company that literally doubles it's fleet thus amount of drivers in the winter and cuts it by half in the summer!!! Transat has mechanics deployed down south during snowbird season but CanJet doesn't.
My understanding was that those mechanics are getting typed on the 737 to be able to accomodate CJ when they go mechanical down south...

Rank, CanJet still operates in the summer, last summer it was 5 birds (theirs) and in the winter they lease planes from Europe for the bigger demand and bring contract pilots as well. When they hire pilots it's for the core pilot group. This summer they will be operating 2 additional planes of their...

They have 5 belonging to them, soon 6, the rest come every winter from Europe, TUI planes from Germany, Belgium and Holland. In May they go back to Europe.
