Re: ALPA Survey
Not the same group. New MEC executive. 1/2 the NC turned over. Many new status reps. I think about 1/2 or 2/3 of them. This is factually incorrect. MEC Executive comprises of members that were all part of the last world class deal. It was just a game of musical chairs. I assume because they wanted ...

Re: pAtTeRn bArGaInIng
Good point about flat pay because that's where the most heavily concentrated anger is coming from and rightly so. The TA fell far too short in that area so I understand how pissed off that group is. But the FO seniority list in YWG looks like most had recently gone through the same 4 year cycle of ...

Re: Poll: What is the most embarrassing aspect of the Air Canada pilot contract?
Reading some of the posts here, you’d think the rooms would be packed at local council meetings with members demanding change, pushing resolutions, engaging leadership. But that hasn’t been my experience at all. The meetings I’ve attended at YYZ have been sparsely attended. In fact, all the other b...

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
It's pretty obvious it is just a few angry members who don't like change.
Between passed motions, a MEC and now survey data, it is clear the membership wanted new direction.

Re: contract search tool
Air Canada pilots have the worst scheduling & reserve rules in the industry hands down.
This agreement was nearly entirely about the pay. If you're not happy about that, then there isn't much there. At least we get our schedules earlier now I guess

Re: What will Air Canada pilots do with their $0 bonus?
How much did every pilot lose with this concession then? An avg payout in 2024 was around $15k. Multiply that by 5000 pilots and it makes it a $75 million concession. New wages was around $250 million. So take $75m divided by $250m and you get roughly 30%. 30% of new wages came from money members g...

Again, more insults from the peanut gallery and angry criticisms of the contract. With no mention as to why a recall would benefit the membership. Since it doesn't sound like you're capable of coming up with anything remotely constructive allow me to suggest the following. Instead of playing divisi...

Re: What will AC Pilots get for a bonus?
The "logic" was that the profit share was an unknown certainty and the guaranteed pay raises accounted for the occasional profit share. I’m for it. Pay me today on a negotiated scale rather than maybe a bonus once a year based on conditions someone else controls. Good thing you don't negotiate for ...

Yeah, I’m sure they told Napoleon the same thing when he was exiled in St Helena. Lol Bob False equivalence or a "red herring" Napoleon didn't have a choice. You literally said that in your comment. He was exiled by the British. Secondly, they could have easily just executed him. Are you comparing ...

Re: Air Canada stock up 45% since the pilots contract
Are you an Air Canada pilot? Do you not see that a billion in share buybacks is coming off the backs of your contract? The stock is up 45%. It's a staggering number. For reference TSX is up less than 2% over the same period. You pilots need to wake up that you got schooled. Discounting a rise of 45...

I can't believe this...but SportingRifle is right...ALPA (the circus that travels from property to property) absolutely did not want a strike No strikes since 2010 and how many collective agreements without any job action since then? 50? Honest questions... Do pilots in Canada think other bargaining outcomes don't have an impact on each other? Pattern Bargaining doesn't exist for pilots in this country? Are CEOs shutting down airlines over pilot wages in this country? Can someone point to where this has ever happened ever? Are pilo...

You guys are tiring, always thinking that those who disagree with you just don’t understand. In that video the pilot group also sent an important message, it is that they will never leave: AC management knows as much as everyone that very few pilots could secure a US visa, and those would be so hig...

Remember...the MEC is only going to push as far as they think they can with the pilot group they have If you can't wear a lanyard for them, you think they are going to be comfortable pushing the absolute limits? Re: Do the Executives send former ACPA Reps thank you cards
That’s wonderful that management can give themselves millions in bonuses. They are basically saying they will have no problems giving the pilots a proper wage during negotiations. Issue is they are rewarding their metrics of being profitable off the backs of having industry leading cheap pilots ACP...
