Let the slide begin

http://www.theprovince.com/business/fp/Canada+transfer+Embraer+jets+partner+Regional/7325185/story.html Well, there it is then. We are now officially starting our slide to the bottom. VERY disappointing news indeed. Sky Regional does it cheaper which will surely play out in a future bid vs Chorus /...

Re: 2012 Ground School

Question: is there a requirement to grant base changes, as per the standing bid, before offering ground school candidates their choice of bases? Or is it not looked at until the equipment bid rolls by?

Don't want to wear a hat anymore?? Prolly that, it is so not a cool hat :? . That and :prayer: more money, :prayer: bigger ships. Grass is always greener (but you usually still gotta wear the hat) . . . Jazz is good, but there will always be moves to 'bigger' opportunities when the hiring be happen...

Re: So any guesses as to when hiring will resume?

My last application has been "un-editable" since the end of June/ beginning of July. I would think that if they are going to be hiring that they would have a "new job posting"... But as of yet, I haven't seen any. If I were to guess, the hiring that goes on in the near future will be through contac...

for those who get the call...send me a PM. Having recently gone through the process I'd be more than happy to answer any Q's you may have. Cheers, BB Likewise. Jazz is a great company, I am willing to help anyone aboard that wishes for my humble advice. Don't expect the 'Holy Grail' at Jazz, but I ...

Re: May 30th ground school

The ever amazing YYC exodus continues . . . what? Nobody got love for Cowtown no more? Fairly awesome, actually, how many peeps have opted to slide out of a YYC base for other pastures.

Re: Q400 question

It will be interesting to see if Jazz will have a common type rating for the Q as well... Word is that TC already sees them as a common type, only reason they are separate equipment bids initially is because they are only being operated out of YYZ. Once they are spread coast to coast (this time nex...

Re: Hiring Pool

Don't worry guys, hiring is only slowed due to the fact the sim's/instructors are swaped from all the new hire and recurrent training to the point that there is just nobody to do the eval's/more new hire training. cheers +1. Easy to imagine other scenarios, but there truly are 'zero' open slots at ...

General short-term industry instability? Air Transat merger + major Thomas Cook expansion? Who knows aside from those that know (and they dont post on here).

I sure hope the hiring continues though, lonely at the bottom

Re: jazz interview questions

+1 on waiting aint so bad. Only takes a few keystrokes to send out the ubiquitous PFO :). But the process of it all, particularly at a time when Jazz HR is extremely busy, can take a while. I had to personally motivate one of my references who is living on a 'tropical island pace', to keep things mo...

Any company who would put a 250 hour pilot into a 1900, is doing a disservice to their passengers. Please supply the name of the company you use as an example. Some of our family members would like to take alternate means of transportation. :bear: :bear: Judging by how this message board works, are...

Re: Where should I apply to start working ramp?

Ramp is a gamble I worked on the ramp/dock for two companies one while completing my training then moved away to work at a 705 operation. The carrot always seemed to get further away and at the end of the season I left. Best decision I ever made and Ive been flying ever since. Mike W Completely agr...
