Well Doc, if you did your research before said hypothetical interview - you should have pissed your pants at home before the interview and once you picked yourself back up you wouldn't have gone in the first place. It is no secret that VAL has a bond so if people don't like it (in principle or from ...

Interesting...and scary. Any chance that it is an internal test of the security procedures rather than an external one? You know, like that W5 or Fifth Estate where the guy roams around the country side of Canada trying to pass questionable looking stuff through security? Let me say this, as well, f...

I can't believe they can still get away with a bond with the way the industry is going. I think in the end you get back all of your money - when it was originally instituted, you got screwed out of a couple hundred bucks but now I think they have fixed that. I might pay for the dash or the rj but I ...

Another thing to consider before choosing aircraft over base. Commuting is expensive, plan $200 a month for a crash pad and $25 for round trip YYZ to YUL. That's another $150 a month. Plan for another $200 easy in additional meal expenses since you'll be away from home more. Expect to be away from ...

Keep in mind that the grads from Seneca (if not some others) have some sort of time in their RJ sim. I have no idea of the hours but coming right out of CP's mouth was "these grads are better trained (on the RJ) then our FO's". I think that is probably the underlying reason that this is getting pus...

Nuts I just posted my 2 cents on the Jazz private forum.

Apparently caused by a hard landing (?), tail 104.

Does make sense from a business standpoint. Train 1 newhire off the street or train the jazz guy for AC and Jazz has to hire and train their replacement. It would not make sense to incur the cost of training 2 pilots if both pilots were working for the same company but in the case of JZA and AC, th...
