Was offered a ground school start in November.
I'm not aware if it's because of growth or attrition, but they have resumed hiring.
Falls in line with some posters who had said recruitment will resume in the fall.

Re: Any US Visa success stories?
The process is lengthy and tedious. Lots of documents to be compiled spanning your entire flying career. Recommendation letters can take a while to get organised. Reaching out to previous employers and getting verification letters takes time as well. The wording of all documents has to be specific t...

Re: Any US Visa success stories?
I got my EB-2 approval in the beginning of the month. The endless wait now for the green card. Does the EB2 give you the legal rights to work in the US while you wait for the green card? Are you applying to companies there while you do all your licence conversions? Cheers EB2 is a green card. The p...

Re: Any US Visa success stories?
Approvals are coming in as per anecdotal experience. I got my EB-2 approval in the beginning of the month. The endless wait now for the green card. You can try on your own. Plenty of tools and resources available on the interwebs to assist you in the process. I used a law firm which delivered as pro...

I've got an interview coming up. Have the pay scales adjusted to match market rates or are they still lagging?

I replied back to the canceled ground schools. No acknowledgment. No info.
Complete radio silence.
Good to hear some are being contacted.

That's very unfortunate for you. I'm in almost the same situation. 11k total and 8000pic 737 TRI in MCT. Just submitted my application and hoping I don't get screwed over like you did. My lawyer says just withdraw and resubmit if it doesn't work out. I hope it doesn't come to that. Good luck with yo...

Re: Where is Tbaylx?
I doubt that. There are enough desperate pilots from Europe, South Africa, SE Asia and Canada who will jump on this at a fraction of the pay the rumors convey. Canada is in some dubious company in terms of pilot wages. I'm in shock how pilots have just let conditions rot to this extent. As of now WB...

When the news is good, all communication channels are open.
When things go tu it's wise to keep the information to trickle as the stakes are much higher.
Can't blame him for the radio silence.
And what can he really say? Sorry suckers. I had targets to meet.

ground schools canceled
April 3rd is last ground school. Everyone else in hold pool.
All hiring and training on hold indefinitely.
For those outside looking in, stay put.
The ones already in, looks like they have a plan to stay afloat. Fingers crossed.

Re: So much for growth
It's actually quite entertaining watching the naysayers struggle with their hopes that Flair fails. But hey, why let the truth cloud a good story? The same could be said about the ones steadfastly hoping it's not the end. I'm hoping it all works out, but let's not pretend it's all hunky dory. It's ...

Re: Flair Pilots
Anyhow, I don’t wish unemployment and starting over on anyone(one exception, you know who you are!) as said above, a company closing its doors will relieve pressure on the companies that were struggling to hire. Good luck Flair pilots Means no pressure to improve terms and conditions. Don't forget ...

Re: Flair hire
They present you with a scenario and see how you work with your team members to solve the problem.
You are assessed on your team work and decision making skills.
Lasts for about 30 minutes. There is a debrief which is more like a discussion about the scenario.

Re: Flair hire
The day of your interview.
Group exercise.
Compass test. DECs get a shortened version as opposed to effoes. It is quite interesting. Multitasking with some joystick fun amongst other exercises I can't recall.
Panel interview.
I am not aware of the scoring system of the Compass test.
Good luck.

Re: Porter pilots make more now
Since the bulk of accidents/incidents occur during approach and landing the pay should be based on the number conducted.
Just adding fuel to the fire. The basis of compensation can and does have entirely too many variables based on perceptions.
Whatever the criteria, it's too damn low.

Re: Poorly Flown Approaches
The decision to hand fly with no FD at 2 am in a black hole is sort of questionable. Wouldn't the 787 give a GPWS Don't Sink aural alert in that case? Wouldn't the altitude alert be going off as well? The best part is they didn't tell anyone. Oops. The report isn't clear - I'm guessing there were F...

Re: What’s on the latest Porter interview?
Speaking from recent experience...
Online (google meet) with a couple of management pilots.
Standard TMAAT scenarios.
Very relaxed and casual.
Was slotted in for an hour. Wrapped up in 35 minutes.
Was told to expect a response in 2 weeks.
Good luck.
