I had my written test dragged out by bad weather and it totally wore me down. Maybe give yourself a short break, focus on something else for a bit, and come back when you actually feel up for it.

In my opinion, it would be a good idea to consult with legal specialists to be sure, but usually being chief pilot doesn’t put you in a spot where you’d have to dig into your own pocket more than when you fly as a regular pilot. The company’s insurance covers what’s needed, so you shouldn’t have any...

I cleared my browser cache and switched to Chrome instead of Safari, and then it let me log in. You could also try incognito/private mode or another device.

Maybe reach out to some smaller flying clubs or private multi-engine instructors around the Prairies—sometimes they’ve got last-minute spots. You could also grab a Group 3 and keep flying single‑engine IFR while you wait, though big operators do tend to favour Group 1.

I don’t think we’ve got a clear commuting policy yet. The new contract just adds a bit about travel reimbursement, but nothing concrete
