Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair

Isn't she and he up for re-election anyway? Why the recall any specifics? Are they being charged under the ALPA constitution for something nefarious?
Why not just wait for the election to take place?
Seems unnecessary and damaging.

Re: Anyone leave Air Canada?

The last bid shows 7 resignations so 0.13% have left. Not necessarily leaving to go south but resigned one way or another. So, 99.87% are choosing to stay at least for now.

Re: Air Canada is Not WestJet

Well ok but I trust ALPA's opinion more than someone's "buddy from Delta."
Still pretty optimistic outlook if you read the whole article.

Wasn't trying to be demoralizing or even offer an opinion. My quote was from the ALPA magazine - Air Line Pilot

Re: Air Canada is Not WestJet

The increase in Canadian leisure travel may moderate in 2024 as economic growth stagnates, reflecting the prospects of a more moderate GDP outlook, a challenged balance sheet for Canadian consumers, and the effect of higher airline ticket prices in recent years due to inflation. Canadian households ...

Re: So over at TransAt.......PAY ATTENTION!

Sounds like this whole lanyard issue is a little myopic. Was the red pen effort used years ago a successful tactic?

I wear my red lanyard but I’m certainly not going to insult or berate anyone else that doesn’t. It’s just a symbol of support after all.

Re: Air Canada Pilots Pull Out

ACPA Worst. Representation. Ever. Let’s not forget a lot of it members. Even today some can’t seem to read between the lines of the MEC Chairs message. Changing the placard on the door to ALPA won’t help much if the members can’t collectively unite with a strong message to the company. Was trying t...

I am sure ALPA would tell us if the CIRB is reviewing our merger. Right?

Re: AC Pilots Successfully Defend Air Ontario Pilots Lawsuit

Well, I guess they could have just bent over and took it with the crowbar that was offered. I'm not part of this but some still antagonize by saying things like," Without crunching the numbers too much, just based on my seniority, I would think had they taken BOTL they would be holding left seat 33...

Re: Voting is open for TA on merger between ACPA and ALPA International

When ALPA starts collecting our dues then we get our own forum like Delta and United pilots have right? You get what Delta gets when you earn it like they have. Sorry I’m new around here so what you’re saying is when ALPA’s professional negotiators take over our bargaining and get us a USA type con...
