Re: TC Class 2 Aviation Medical Certificate Question - Suboxone
Ignore the person above, their opinion is irrelevant. The only person who can answer this question would be a CAME/Transport Canada. You could either call and ask or go through the process of trying to get a Cat 2 medical. That said, I think you may have a very difficult time holding a medical. Good...

Re: YYZ Fall VFR
I would suggest looking at student housing for one of the universities in the area. Look at UTM, York, Centennial. Generally speaking the landlords near colleges are scummier than the ones near universities. You can look for sublets where people let for 4-8 months at a time, usually beginning on Ja...

I think I saw on Reddit that there was a week of interviews at the end of July for YVR. Not sure about FEAST.

You won’t get any more information than the above post, or any specifics at least due to candidates signing an NDA. Not allowed to share details. My advice would be to prep as you would for any interview, and yes sleeping well the night before is very important!

I’m not sure how about your preference your really influences what they offer you. Seems many people get offers or standby for their 2nd or 3rd choiceBootlegATC wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 1:20 pm What string did you choose during the interview? I chose IFR and got standby for it and VFR offers have also went out.

Re: Frequent job posting when many are waiting
Hey, I don't think you'll find answers to your question on this forum. Unless you're within the recruitment team at NAV Canada, it's just a guess at how things work. I applied and did my online test in May 2019. I then didn't hear anything until September 2022 for FEAST, but received an IFR offer fo...

Hey, I just got the call aswell unfortunately I got wait listed, if you don’t mind me asking when were you eligible for an offer? Personally I got my email yesterday stating I’m eligible for an offer so I was just wondering if perhaps I got lower scores than the other candidates or if the other can...

Re: YYZ Eligible Since February - Anyone Else?
I must salute you all for your dedication and tenacity in waiting out one of the most peculiar interview/offer processes I have ever seen. Haha I didn't really wait it out honestly. I applied and lived my life as if this never existed, got a job in a different field etc. I think that's the best way...

Good to know!! Thanks for the info.atcthrowawayyy wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 9:13 pm All 5 specialties in Vancouver ACC are short-staffed. Some severely short-staffed.
I doubt they'll just agree to moving trainees who pass generic in Vancouver to other FIRs.

IFR Training Relocation
Received an offer for IFR training in YVR. It states that after generic the trainee can be sent to any of the 7 ACCs for specialty and OJT.
How common is this? The impression I got during the application process/interview is that I would be staying in the Vancouver FIR. Thanks!

I heard an email with all the information, including medical things will be emailed after the phone call. How many days after the phone call will the email be sent? Not sure, but I got the call on Thursday and as of Monday I haven’t received the email yet. Did they mentioned whether it's a standby ...
