I don’t care for Doug Ford much. Especially how he handled the scamdemic or his drama queen TDS episodes. He’s a liberal in a blue suit but he’s the least of all evils when you compare him to the commie NDP or the liberal ladies….Bonnie Crosbie or Kathleen Wynne?

If they still get applicants willing to play “mystery base” on day 1 of groundschool then it will continue status quo. At Jazz it’s not so bad since there’s a limited number of positions overall and no jet flying for them in the east.

It will get interesting if there’s layoffs with the fuel price shitshow. Will a boomer retire or let a new hire get laid off? I think I know the answer to that.

Jazz only hired 62 pilots in 2025 so things have been really slow for the new kids getting off reserve or getting a base transfer.

The Jazz YHZ pilot base closed over 15 years ago. The flight attendant base is closing in a few weeks.

Lots of diversity on the 401 lately. Nearly every truck crash is a flip flop driver with questionable credentials and experience. I hope aviation doesn’t go the route of trucking.
