Re: Pakistan International Airlines

They should be banned here but our government doesn’t care about such things. They haven’t even enacted the new duty regs. They probably see it as hundreds of potential liberal voters to welcome in.

Re: 220 Pilots, what are you thoughts so far??

I deadheaded on one for the first time the other day. I did notice a bit of resonance in the cabin. Sort of a rumble. I assume it’s from the engine speeds not being matched. Otherwise it was nice.

Re: Jazz APP aviation pathway program

Not the end of the world though. There will still be jobs up north for new pilots and it’s always nice to hear stories from the north when I fly with new hires. You’ll look back on your career more fondly someday if you have a few stories to share about flying to #$&@ Lake or *#+@ House rather than ...

Re: Jazz APP aviation pathway program

I unfortunately think there will be more layoffs at AC and Jazz before there is hiring. I have been hearing the US border may be closed to leisure travel till next year. 3 years seems possible for hiring again but who knows. There definitely won’t be a pilot shortage for many years now and I doubt t...

Re: Open the door, no thanks

Well what are we supposed to do? Everything we do has some risk. Driving to work, sports, recreational activities, catching a viral infection etc. We can’t go on indefinitely as we are. There will be no economy and no jobs for many and a low quality of life.

Re: Open the door, no thanks

I don't think the death rate is any worse than a bad strain of the flu. If the death rate was really that bad people would be dropping everywhere and the hospitals would be overwhelmed. That is not the case. I know of a person who's relative died in a nursing home, and they marked it down as the COV...

I think he meant TFW.

TC doesn’t even respond to emails and I can’t get through on the phone with a medical question. Completely useless.

Re: AC and WJ to Start Using Middle Seats Again

We will wait and see how fast air travel bounces back. Not to hijack the thread, but I follow Eurocontrol on social media and they post a lot of numbers. Yesterday saw 12770 flights pass through their system - 38% week over week increase (some 3500 more flights). Most flights since March 20th. And ...

Mines always half pulled down so I can actually breathe. When I deadhead now I have a coffee with me and some snacks to nibble on so I don't have to wear the mask the whole time.

Pitiful. This government is a real shame; hopefully Canada will get real leaders one day... Yah, lets get that conservative party back in power, you know, the ones that took away the right to strike for Air Canada pilots, remember them ???? I’ll take them any day over the clown show running the cir...

I don’t think they made much money on those little airports in years. Were subsided or forced to fly there for years but no longer now.

Saw their 777 at YYZ yesterday and was reminded of this, but I figured if you’ve survived long enough to make 777 without making any craters you’re probably at least semi safe.

Yup he's on a mission to destroy Canada and he's doing a good job at it. Companies in a free market economy are not charities. They exist for 1 purpose and that is too make money. If they can make or lose less money by laying off than that is what’s going to happen. It shouldn’t be a shocker or in t...

Trudeau is a disgrace. He only comes out of his house at 11:00 like a coo coo clock to say nothing for the past 3 months except when he went to a black lives matter protest. Thankfully not in blackface again.

He doesn’t care about airlines or the economy.

...wait for the lay-off notice or seek alternate employment now. No need to quit, if you do find alternate employment (and it most likely won’t be flying) then ask for a Leave of Absence, which I’m sure the company would be more than happy to oblige. I realize that finding employment elsewhere is e...

I bet Trudy announces something soon. Every day he comes out at 11:00 am like a coo coo clock he spends another billion on something. He can just print more money and buy the new jets and everything will be just fine. How about you try putting on some big boy pants and stop whining like a child? Bo...
