C'mon Hans - do you really have to post comments like that? Even the comment itself contains a disclaimer that it's pretty much just some BS someone made up. There is certainly no way to prove it actually happened. If it truly is "all the same to you" as your sig implies, then please use a bit more ...

Re: PVI DATES

Just get back to the TC rep that contacted with the notice and talk with them. Depending on their schedule they'll typically work with you to find a date that works for both of you. Not sure of the exact limit on how much leeway they have but up to a couple of weeks later likely won't be an issue.

Do whatever it takes to get to the airlines as fast as you can. Seniority (and money) is the most important thing and really, life is way to short as it is and varied life experience is way over rated. The sooner you get to sit there with the AP engaged, staring mindlessly out the window, the happie...

Very sad, but the search has been called off. Reasonable decision but I sure feel bad for the families with no closure.

But PilotDAR, that's exactly what Icon wants you to be doing - based on their marketing and promotional material. Along with their apparent feeling that low flying is goooood.

Sadly, the way that company has positioned and marketed that aircraft it's very unlikely to be the last accident.

I don't agree that just because certain situations exist, i.e pitch black departure over a lake, that they need to be trained for. Good pilot decision making actually means that you avoid the kind of situations which have proven to be killers. Night VFR flight is taken far too lightly by many pilots...

All the responses that relate to doing steep turn...

then you discover in your damaged airframe that a bad wire connection was responsible for the faulty indication. I'm with Photofly and I wouldn't care particularly what was found after the fact. The decision I made was prudent with the info available at the time. An aircraft is simply a machine and...

Now, to be fair, I'm not night qualified and this was my first night flight. I'm not sure who paid for the flight, but I'm assuming you did. Perhaps this wonderful instructor that "offered" you the opportunity for a night flight simply wanted to get a couple more PIC night hours themselves? I perso...

As with all progress, when things change new opportunities arise. Humans have proven to be very poor at predicting what the the new opportunities will be but very good at hand-wringing and bemoaning the loss of what is/was. Certainly the job of piloting aircraft will evolve but I'm willing to bet th...
