Re: KFC DC10
The Dc10 fleet has a bad record of what?? The 10 has been around for more than 30 years and has had it's fair share of incidents/accidents...what is your point? Fundamentally this is another Douglas workhorse, it is just a first gen widebody that is showing it's age like 747 classics..

Re: Export C of A
An export C of A is a nice thing to have as it means that the aircraft may be in decent shape depending on the country it is coming from, but that is all it is..Transport may give you some credit for having one and it may ease their workload a bit but they still have to do their due diligence..

Re: AME "E" Class Avionics Career Advice
From what I can read in the regs an M2 with type endorsement can do all the work and release the aircraft or he can oversee all the work being done and, if satisfied, can release the aircraft..An E license can only sign for the work they have accomplished and they also have to follow endorsement rul...

Re: AME "E" Class Avionics Career Advice
M 's can do all E work if they like...Only thing is most employers want an E license to do the work because they have far more faith in an E license doing an avionic job correctly...

Re: Has a Seriously Struggling Canadian Airline Ever Been Fixed?
AC is sunk, it is only matter of time and the feds are not going to step up this time.. Milton folowed the well trodden route that was so in favour in the US until about a year ago...that is the shareholders are god (that would include Milton) and accordingly he sold everything off. AC now owns very...

Re: Hypothetical Question about AC - CCAA again or Liquidate
LH has no interest in AC, they are German, what could they possibly want from AC other than some prime slots??? Seriously Ac is going down the chute this time, all over folks, there will be some reincarnation to maintain Canadian service but it will be a shadow of the former AC and that will not be ...

Re: Air Canada Strapped for Cash
Those are the facts put quite simply, sure one could go on and on as most AC's will but the reality is Canadian should have been let go to sink...oh well it is just the ongoing Canadian airline saga and I , for one, am so much happier since I left that rathole : )

Avianor
Anyone know what is happening with Avianor/MAS at Mirabel? Heard they have a 777 in the old Transat hangar but they have been kicked out of one side of the hangar to make way for Pratt and Whitney.. with Zoom gone and the downturn wonder how they will do this winter...
