Re: Canadian north to buy first air

Actually I think the argument is hilarious. Canadian North has not crashed an aircraft but owns nothing (infrastructure). It all looks wonderful from the outside but requires huge amounts of cash to service. Their 737-300 leases are ridiculous but are justified in their eyes because of the oil sands...

Re: Canadian north to buy first air

I love Skydrol. The fact that these two ( Canadian North and First Air) could not carry on the status quo was pretty obvious for anyone willing to open their eyes. The fact that Canadian North owns nothing and made numerous cash calls to Nunasi in the past tells the innocent bystander something. Can...

Re: On holding more than one license...

Seems a lot of people are talking through their hats. I have an M2 and have had for 25 years. I also have an E license and have had that for 20 years more or less. Transport keeps renewing my M2/E no problem.

Re: North Cariboo Air

The Q400 has been around for more than 15 years. It was not a big success for Bombardier. If it is anything like the other Dash 8's ( which it is) it will be a hangar queen.

Re: Question and invitation for contractors

The situation in Canada is really a farce. Twenty five years ago it was the norm to have all accommodation and transportation paid for, a per diem of $50.00 was the bottom of the barrel and the wages were at least what is being offered by these people. So have we moved ahead? Have we kept abreast of...

Re: AVEOS closes the doors

Seriously people Air Canada has been outsourcing maintenance of all kinds for years to asia and south/central america. No big surprise there. This has all been part of the grand Milton plan. And no it is not coming back no matter what Quebec says or wants. The Aveos shops were some of the most ineff...

Type endorsements are a cost of doing business for the airline plain and simple. Only the cheap ass outfits request bonds..

You guys are pathetic. There is nothing breaking the sound barrier in a jet engine..if there is then the engine and it's design are a complete failure..know what you are talking about before making statements like that..

Symbiotic, are you joking... anyone who goes on strike right now or even threatens to is an idiot..does not matter what the past decried, look at the future, it is not bright and for pilots to threaten strike action this fall is a huge joke..

Re: Nationair Crash & Website

Was and is a very sad incident, totally preventable.. I spent more than a few years at NX but left before this happened because the writing was all over the walls..just a matter of time..that is what is so disgusting, it was allowed to continue and everyone knew about it (company culture). Now wheth...
