You pee in a cup for drugs and blow in a breathalyzer for booze.
Don't drink the day before you go, and you're fine.

Re: Next steps after getting to atpl minimums
I emailed them my logbook, pictures of my exam results and my license, as well as my type rating.
I got my ATPL sticker in two weeks.
I was at 2600 hours, but it was quick.

Last I heard, your compensation will be 35,000 / year. You will have the opportunity to fly the right seat in the PC-12NG. And after about a year on the 206, you can go to the Caravan. And then after a year of that, you can be a dedicated PC-12 crew. Note that this info is from 2021, so some things...

I worked there for two years and loved it. The flying is fun, you meet interesting people, and the planes are all in good shape. They have a very busy PC-12 now as well.

Are they really gung-ho about the multi time for FOs?
2500 hours, ATPL, 1500 turbine, but no multi, really.
I’ve never had an answer from an email…. Can anyone shed some light?

Re: Buffalo Pay Scale
Nothing like low time pilots getting mileage pay in shitty old airplanes up north for a shitty company that's had their AOC revoked more times than I can count; nothing says "safety" like attaching your paycheque to how often you fly. I get paid mileage and haven’t once let it get in the way of mak...

Dan Gryder is a fucking idiot, but it's hard to disagree with him.

Not a wheel should spin until they are back on property. Under what legal principle/right would a unionized pilot have to deny the employer his/her services? You can’t just not show up for work because you’re upset. Sure you can. You can not come to work for any reason. Your employer might not like...

Re: Float flying prospects?
I haven't got much knowledge on this but people smarter than me have said the 185 is harder to fly than the be beaver. If I had to guess I would think a 206 would be worse than a 185. 206 is far and away the worst Cessna seaplane. 185s are great. Beavers are way, way easier to fly though, from what...

NW Ontario and Manitoba. Email everyone you find on PCC a resume and then follow up.
That’s how I did it at 225TT and 25 float.
You’ve got almost 100 hours on floats. That’s a Beaver job in some places.

Re: Blue Water Aviation plane down North of Winnipeg
I’m pretty gutted I can’t make it to Bissett tomorrow, both Jonathan and Tanya made being away from home very easy for both my summers there. Made me feel right at home from day one. Nothing but the utmost generosity from both of them. I do hope they find out what happened so it doesn’t ever happen ...

Re: C Series lands at EGLC. Toronto Island loses out. Again.
Imagine if Porter got rid of some noisy Q400s and replaced them with reduced frequency on A220s? Somethingike a 3 for 2 ratio. The waterfront area would be much quieter. There’s a Falcon 20 that comes in here all the time. You barely know it’s here. And then Metros and MU-2s come in here and it’s t...

Re: Blue Water Aviation plane down North of Winnipeg
Does anyone know if the aircraft in question had one of the upgross kits? I don’t think it would have been overweight on this flight but I’m more curious about the effect of years of an upgross kit applied to a plane and it’s effects. It did, but it was the 8367 pound one, and not the other (9000 p...
