Re: Flair off runway excursion YKF

Glad no one was hurt.

In one article I read a passenger got a text from Flair something like "How was the flight?". They were going to respond it would be nice to get dropped off at the terminal next time ;) They also said they would travel with Flair again in the future.

No big deal 😎

Yeah, yawn, only about 800 people in Canada have had their lives totally messed up by being mandated to take the vaccine.... You are right, let's not talk about this maybe it will go away.

I just watched a video of a man reconditioning a lead acid battery out on a busy street somewhere in India. My point? We are so out of touch with the reality most in this world face... So thankfull I can even consider complaining about anything other than food shelter and clean water. ;)

My guess is the FO was the one flying and a highly experienced training Captain was the PM on the first attempt. The Captain took over for the next attempt... ;).

Let's hope we can get the public flying again in Canada soon! No matter what political party is in power, they will have their challenges, it won't just be fixed with a change in party. The biggest challenge they all face seems to be keeping honest. 16 dollar Orange juice, yeah I remember that. Alwa...

Not using a checklist probably the real reason for these deaths. Before takeoff, Fuel....on fullest tank. Check. Who uses a checklist in a Beaver? We all should be. I'm lucky to be here after making the same mistake, took off on an empty tank I was using just for the taxi and then forgot to switch b...

I've been without work, what kept me going was a deep belief things would turn around, and over time they did. Hopefully this event will help us all realize we can live more simple lives. It will show us we don't need to travel as much, the joy of spending more time at home with loved ones. Many wil...

Re: One List

So pilots were told at the mainline interview they would have mainline seniority if they took a captain spot at wje and that promise was broken? Who wouldn't be upset about that? That is a huge loss! That isn't the same as "you'll be a captain in 3 years". Telling someone in those shoes that it will...

Re: Why does everyone want to work at Air Canada?

No, not everyone wants to work at Air Canada. Hard to believe eh? I wouldn't mind the pay cheque and benefits of the wide body captains but the type of flying isn't for a lot of us. I have a good book at home about a bush pilot that ended up going into the airlines in his 40s and became Captain on t...

Believe it or not, yes, you can have a loyal group of unionized pilots that want the best for the Company. That is what a good contract is all about. That is why there will be an agreement reached that satisfies both sides. It makes the most sense over the long term.

Perhaps he is a good person and he is a pleasure to be around? How do I really know? It...
