do you mean it doesn't have a 3rd AI, or the power behind it? The older ones may have that setup, but the ones I have JS'd on have stby Att power. Capts prestart procedures I believe check stby inst

one thing I have an issue with is these older aircraft that to me don't have a separate battery backup 3rd AI. I believe this was contributory to the Carson Metro North of YVR a few years back(yes we know the captain was impaired)

I have UK citizenship, so I looked at doing it in Ireland, however the costs(you can't take all the tests at once(they told me one a week), so hotel airfare food for 3 months........long story short, I didn't do it though i have TCAA/FAA/CASA licenses

Book off 5 weeks, have your medical done prior, take online groundschools, prebook exams, and a pilot examiner at the end...... fly every day for a month, sometimes twice a day. almost all canadian avgas comes out of edmonton. the refinery does runs semi regularly, but don't be fooled anyone who uses a large amount of avgas(fbo's) is already reaping the benefits

remember EI is on a weekly cycle with no backdating. if you are laid off thursday have paperwork done friday, otherwise it goes in the pile next friday and you lose a weeks time.
