Re: Canada bids for mothballed prototype drone from Germany

We didnt Buy the subs it was a horse trade for the bases, we did however have to buy all the technical package from BAE, and then pay for a refurb. Politicians shouldn't be allowed near military spending. Give the Generals a budget, then got out of the way.

Re: Remeber that F35 debate

Sorry, I like the Gryphen......BUT where are the fighter bases YQQ, YOD, YBG, and Sort of YYR. where are they going to intercept the threats. we need something that can supercruise and has at least 1200 range. Look at the F-18's that were scrambled from YBG due to the drug smuggling Convair. Made it...

Re: Accident Analysis - Single Point Failure

Pilotdar that is under car/far 23, older stuff is grandfathered. Kind of like the jetstream, if you have a dual gen failure your standby runs off the ships battery. That is ok if it wasn't the battery that cuased the failure

In the states i can remove a t&b, and replace with a 2nd AI, not so in canada. I fly several turboprops that the only vacuum instrument is my t&b, do you think i would be better off with a 3rd AI? In addition i have an ipad with a ads-b/ bluetooth AI backup. Sh!t breaks all the time, have a backup

Sean, ask ourself if trucki ng companies put a newly minted class 1 driver on the road, or does he swamp or a while? I seem to recall an accident about a year ago with a novice driver, and now mandatory extra training is required... humboldt anyone.
