Re: Proposal for Canada and Australia to share water bombers

Well maybe they should buy a squadron or 2 for the RAAF and dual role them as coastwatch and civilian fire support........oh right because the commercial concerns would bitch about lost business.

Re: Westjet CYHZ

What's so concerning is the mindset that diversion, even under such bad conditions, isn't an option. I've heard many discussions about whether operators should upgrade to WAAS or Halifax should upgrade to 4 ILSes, and in the end, if operators don't want to do the costly upgrade then they have to be...

]Are you honestly claiming that low time pilots need *more* automation experience? Their manual flying skills have barely been developed yet manually flying a metro doesn’t benefit them as much as operating an autopilot? i admit I am surprised... I wouldn't say I'm claiming that, no. I am however, ...

Re: Possible Government assistance for training pilots.....given to the airlines?!

Sorry guys i have to call B@llocks. I have flown with many degreed, credentialed wunderkind who couldn't fly straight and level without a flight director. One guy had engineering degree, and flight college(seneca) who would rock me to sleep. He also couldn't take criticism, direction, or technical t...

Re: No bounce landing

I stand corrected wrt the nosegear(all you video wizzes out there) however look at the damage to the props afterward. Now I'm not an acccident investigater, but it looks like there was no power to the prop( blades bent in middle, no rotational damage) does someone who does this for a livving want to...

It is called supply and demand.

Obviously someone is willing to work for what they pay so the problem lies with pilots not companies.
Corporate sold the airplane boys, just trying to keep the doors open

Re: No bounce landing

Not sure I can see the nose gear. Maybe shutoff engines, and didn’t feather because props would “dig”. Also takes quite a while for some engines to feather to stop

Re: ATPL Application process tips

Hi guys, Just as a heads up, I applied for my ATPL at the YUL office back in December, and I just received an email concerning my hours as co-pilot on King Air A100. They want a letter from the company confirming that their SOP's require a co-pilot for the operation since its a ''Single pilot plane...

Why would you spend millions certifying an aircraft with no customer base. At the time, the only possible customer were air canada or jazz. Both have vested interests in sucking up to the feds/pq govt.
