Re: 17 year TA?

For years Jazz guys have been bashing other airlines for lowering the bar.
Now is YOUR chance to do something about it!

Re: Think carefully before you make your next move

We are staring at the leading edge of the biggest pilot shortage in history. Why would anyone lock into a 17year deal with a paltry annual increase???

This will never happen in Canada as long as you can stick a 250hr wonder in the right seat.
It will also never happen as long as AC continues to pay $40,000usd a year for a 777 FO.

GGN guys got pfo'd at Jazz. We worked hard at our interviews and got in. BOTL is a fair deal. If you're not happy to have a job after you've lost yours then go to swg or air Tran.
TSC worked hard at his interview. Wore out TWO sets of kneepads!

Re: New drone rules for Canada...

Insane. The bureaucracy in this country just keeps getting worse Bet you wont be saying that when a plane your mother or daughter is on gets frigged up from a birthday drone. Just ban them outright. Its only half bald fat dudes that fly them. Very intelligent. Thanks for adding to the discussion

Am I to understand that you now need a drone pilot license to fly radio controlled airplanes that weigh more than 250g?

I guess management sure played the pilots for suckers. All that battling over the ots Swoop pilots and Mainline ends up doing the swoop flying at a pay loss. At least you got to keep the flying 🙄

Supply and demand. AC doesn’t have to raise their pay. They still get lots of resumes. Remember, we don’t need 1500hrs to fly an airliner in canada!

Because that is the major issue that will affect every single Future AC pilot. It is the main reason that many of us with experience turn down the job. Can’t possibly afford it.

Re: Another ATAC effort.... aka sidestep.

Good article. We are nowhere near that desperate in Canada without the 1500hr rule. Rather than raise wages and offer bonuses, our airlines simply higher pilots with lower experience...and there will never be a shortage of 250hr pilots. I don’t think you will see a significant change in Wawcon due t...

I wish people would stop defending the shit pay in Canuckistan. It will never change as long as we keep saying it’s not too bad. It is the largest “pilot shortage” in 40years and somehow AC and it’s feeders are paying less than ever.

Re: Canadian living in the U.S. getting the boot...

You don’t think the pay is that different? What does Jazz pay? $27,000usd? A friends son got hired at a commuter down there as soon as he got his 1500hrs. $80,000usd to start and guaranteed captain salary after a year regardless of whether or not he makes captain. Don’t kid yourselves. Sorry about y...
