Re: Home owner shoots down Drone. It's Started!
So lessons learned: 1. A shotgun can knockdown some drones at surprisingly long range. 2. Some folks in Kentucky are pretty handy with a scatter gun. 3. Don't fly anything to low across this guys backyard. Or mine. Btw. A shotgun with any small birdshot pointed up is nt going to hurt anyone around w...

Re: Beren's Band roasts air ambulance service in the media
I have to back up esp and redneck. The most unprofessional thing you can do as a medevac pilot is change how you fly based on the condition of the patient. You should not know, heli medevac Pilots down south are never told now, bc of their terrible safety record back in the day when they did know. I...

Get ahold of the cubdriver749er guy. Loni Haber-something or other. He does training n the very thing you are after. While he probably won't be where you are when you want, he may have contacts who are. Be advised, there are lots of guys with taildraggers on big tires who can't land in less than a t...

Meatservo, that was good. Really really good. Just because you are a Pilot, can pay for flight training on credit, a pass tc exams does not mean you are entitled to stroll into a flying job. An add like this hopefully weeds out the aviator wearing hair slicked back shiny shoes mommy paid for 250 hou...

Oh ya. There are those people too.
On a side note, someone should figure out what plane is the most effective chick magnet. (Within a reasonable budget of course, I'm pretty sure a G6 would win otherwise)

Re: How many shares are too many in a plane?
You guys have the potential to have so much fun. Pop n fresh, just buy a plane. If it's too much money, or you don't like it, you can get divorced. I mean sell it! Or get a partner after the fact. But better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. The bank will give you the money. Th...

"When should one panic necessarily?"
"When you're 20 minutes from destination and the galloping trots come on hard. "
I was going to ask but somehow I knew I shouldn't.

I guess they don't have a paddle on the float. Wouldn't have done much good but watching the pilot try to paddle an otter around would have provided some entertainment while they waited

As it the constant decent angle question, the applicable plates have alt vs distance published, meaning all one should have to do is fly a certain ground speed and decent angle. In my experience it's harder than it sounds, most folks end up high and have to chop powers to make the spot. although I w...

How long should a restart take in this aircraft? Too long in his case it seems. Does anyone teach, or at least try to learn for their own benifit, how to light the engines that they fly in a big hurry? Its probably not good for various systems, but with most smaller turbines, not in feather, it shou...
