Re: Questions for Jazz pilots
250hrs and a diploma won’t be enough to secure a spot at the airlines anymore, except for a few lucky lotto winners basically. I really hate to say but it for 95% of newly minted pilots now it is most likely back to old routine of road tripping just to find a job hucking bags, cleaning planes, and s...

Re: Pfizer Covid Vaccine shows 90% effectiveness.
This is gonna be another train wreck avcanada covid thread. Seriously guys, WTF is going on here? What is wrong with some of you? I knew there were some conspiracy whack jobs in our ranks but I guess they all congregate on avcanada because people are so sick of listening to them in the cockpit. We a...

Re: Science-Based Alternative to Ease Quarantine Act Restrictions
Given the meticulously precautionary nature of the pilot job, I’d be surprised if any of our kind were anti-mask. Just think of the Swiss cheese model. The absence of masks would just be another slice with a hole in it. Even if they were 1% effective it would still be better than nothing. Any facial...

Re: Is this The End of the Pilot Career
Inevitable but still a very long ways off. We have to fully automate cargo trucks and container ships first as proof of concept before we move on to airplanes. The service life of a new airliner is around 40 years or whatever, so maybe the next generation of airliners after that will have 1 pilot. B...

Re: Science-Based Alternative to Ease Quarantine Act Restrictions
If masks didn’t work why the f*ck would doctors and nurses wear them lol
Where the hell did common sense go
They’re not the magic bullet but obviously they are going to work to some degree

How has this thread not been locked yet? Because a new one will start and turn into the same thing anyways. Might as well keep this one going lol Back to the original topic...Science-Based Alternatives...what we have seen is people arguing over the science, referencing multiple doctors who ar...

Re: Science-Based Alternative to Ease Quarantine Act Restrictions
I suggest you look up creepy Joe Biden videos(for actual footage) if you think Trump is creepy. Oh my god, I just did and now I feel sick. Really, America, not one, but two pedo old guys? I’ve given up. Like George Carlin said, “I no longer care about the outcome.” No point in caring when you can’t...

I guess your happy with the current situation and like seeing your peers getting furloughed due to the incompetence of the leadership of the free world. Have you even watched the v...

Re: Science-Based Alternative to Ease Quarantine Act Restrictions
If every single person wore a mask for 3 months we would easily eradicate it, that’s super basic science, but that will never happen. Sucks how humans are our own worst enemy. We’ve made this wayyy harder than it needed to be. Maybe we should just go ZERO restrictions, open everything up 100%, wait ...

Re: New Bottom Feeder's
For the guys who are retiring early, presumably because they can afford so, total bro move to let the new guys take the spot. That being said, I wouldn’t hold it against anyone who doesn’t. The older guys especially worked very hard over the decades, are absolutely entitled to the job they have, and...

Re: Science-Based Alternative to Ease Quarantine Act Restrictions
Covid is just an overblown flu and all the major doctors in the world saying otherwise are just part of a bigger plot to slowly take away our freedoms and also to make trump look worse to try and swing the editions!!! They’re part of the bigger conspiracy! Take off your mask and wake up sheeple! It’...

There’s enough corruption in the Donald Duck administration to write more than one book on. It’s a mess. I don’t even want to get started, but I guess I just kicked it off...

A little tip Garp, as if your posts weren't full of enough shit your use of the word "dude" betrays your teenagerness (is that a word?). If you think teenagers have said dude in the last 20 years, it shows how out of touch you are No , it shows how out of touch people who still use it are...

All this time and technology and they’ve hardly even made freight trains, trucks, or container ships fully automated, what makes anyone think that planes will be anytime soon?

Re: Chapter 11.
Let them go broke, why should they be bailed out. Poor service offered by all airlines, to many flights to the same city, at roughly the same time. I’m tired of private companies getting free money. Let the weak go broke and the strong survive, or new one start up. Have you no compassion. A very la...
