Re: 250hr Pilot Advice
Take this for what you paid for it, and understand that I agree with rookiepilot. I'm certainly not the most experienced person on this board, but I wouldn't say I'm a junior. I've flown a variety of types, in a variety of environments. The thing that I am most proud about in my career is that EVER...

Re: Science-Based Alternative to Ease Quarantine Act Restrictions
I was under the impression we are still in the first wave, the same shitstorm from the beginning, we slowed it down a bit but it’s still spreading steady, albeit much slower in some places, higher in others. Maybe we should open all borders worldwide and call the massive increase in cases the “secon...

I don’t know, right now you can’t even go eat in a restaurant in Ontario. You’ll get fined for sitting on a park bench. You can’t even get a haircut but you can take your dog to get one. It’s all about how much muh government will allow. People aren’t going to travel much till we get most of ...

Re: Science-Based Alternative to Ease Quarantine Act Restrictions
It's all about perspective which the pursuit of Covid has lost. And the chart doesn't even have the worst killer of all - starvation. Which is at almost 6,500,000 this year (10 times Covid) and would be easily eradicated through the simple supply of money and food. But we don't do that because it d...

Since this is a public forum I’m gonna just say pilotless airplanes are the devil.
I don’t want to be a passenger drone “pilot” anytime soon.

Re: YUL Base
As an Anglo in Québec life can be pretty fine even if you speak no French, however, being out of the loop in conversations gets tiresome eventually. When the skippers are often speaking French to the FA’s, it can get annoying, whether they intend to or not. It is what it is. I think, if you’re going...

And pelmet doubles down!! proclaiming his superior intelligence and credibility over us, because he avoided Chinese people at the beginning. Priceless.

“If you’re going to do something, do it right.” When Trump put the governors in charge whilst simultaneously politicizing the whole situation (most notably the wearing of masks), I knew America was doomed. Now they are paying the price for doing it so wrong. And I was smart enough to avoid areas lik...

Re: Open the door, no thanks
Exactly. And keeping the healthcare system under control obviously requires some degree of economic sacrifice, to keep the virus from running too rampant. It’s a really simple concept to understand...the real trick is finding a balance. Hard to know if we’re jumping the gun on reopening, or going ov...

Re: Air canada axes 30 routes
The government told people not to travel, effectively forcing airlines temporarily out of business. When the airlines asked the gov for help they got nothing...(crickets) Shutting down a bunch of regional routes is just sending a message. Help us or there will be more to come. Uh no, most of these ...

Re: A mess to regain confidence.
Anyways......we are opening up....no matter what some here want to do. Back to almost normal behaviour for more and more of us.....with a few logical precautions.I have been getting fresh air every day since the lockdown began. Back to almost normal lol. Right. Things are “opening” up but it seems ...

Unfortunately, if you use lockdowns to flatten the curve, it no longer stays flat when you lift such restrictions, as we are now seeing in certain states. In less that two weeks from now, they are projecting ICU’s beyond surge capacity.
Here we go again.
Here we go again.

Re: Airlines ask MP’s to have COVID rules relaxed ..
I don't know what the issue is. I booked a trip to another province for next month, and nobody asked if it was essential or anything. We can travel and nobody is stopping it. How is this the federal government's fault again? Many people have actually become accustomed to just chilling now, and pers...

Re: Equipment bid
We’re all just bickering about the price of human lives. At some point it boils down to that. Personally I’m just going to let the cards fall where they may, but I don’t think it’s justified to sh*t on the masses just because they’re scared [and you’re not].

Re: Equipment bid
The mere statement that hundreds of thousands of people will still lose their lives in and effort to keep the economy going is conjecture based on some rather faulty assumptions. Um, have you not paid attention? Hundreds of thousands have already lost their lives with the economy not going, so plen...

You are a voice of reason Pelmet. I’ve stopped trying to convert the cowering and fearful masses...it’s a losing battle... but I still feel it’s important to support those that have a clear and balanced outlook on this crisis. You are not alone. There are many people that feel the same way. I hope ...

Re: Equipment bid
You're cherry picking the data to support your own conclusions. I took a look at the CDC website to see what else it had to say, specifically about air travel. You're using their data but arguing against the CDCs own guidance. Exactly, everyone is all of a sudden the new CDC director. Let people ch...
