They are an odd group of people. They sh!t on the pilot Indusrty in 96 now they are crying to mommy so they don’t get sh!t on. They are trying to ensure their own company is not competitive . In my view simply pathetic Pilots. Go to swoop. Have a great job flying nice equipment and let all the unio...

Re: Let's all apply at Swoop!

You’re supplying your own BS here, the RJs were ordered by Air Nova and taken away by the AC pilots agreeing to fly them for less, the fact they ended up returned to Regional was them coming back to the original owners. Enjoy your Swoop job, I hope you get everything you deserve. To be honest I thi...

Re: Marshmallows & kids

OK...here is my one and final attempt to explain status pay. I'll make this real simple. Hourly rates are just for the example and make the math easier. Industry Standard pay rates B757 - Captain $200/hr Dash 8 - Captain $100/hr Company A (Type Pay) B757 - Captain $200/hr Dash 8 - Captain $100/hr C...

You guys go ahead and undermine the conditions of all Canadian pilots, don't come crying when we all close the doors to you when you realize it's not a career company in a few years... or months! Re: Let's all apply at Swoop!

Funny how when my colleagues are able to further themselves at my expense, and the B scale is on my back, I am entitled and a complaining generation who does not deserve better. Then they would say I am a scab to apply for a job at swoop that pays twice my salary. Why not you do you and I do me? Ob...

Re: Let's all apply at Swoop!

Are you worried about what the HR department at Swoop thinks about pilots? Their terms of employment, and their salary offerings already tells you what they think about pilots. Do you think they care if they get 1000 applicants 10,000, 100,000, they will have no problem filling their cockpits with ...

Re: PFOed then hired by Jazz?

Has any one of you guys heard of anyone getting hired on the second try(after 8-9 months) after getting PFOed ? Just curious. Of course. A lot can change in 8-9 months and someone who just barely missed the cutoff then could easily tick all the boxes now. 100% for sure if the PFO was due to flying ...

Re: Let's all apply at Swoop!

Just thinking, what if we all applied at Swoop? I'm thinking if their HR department receives 1000 applications for aircrew, books interviews, and everybody NO-SHOWS.....might be a bit of fun.... Of course, we could all be lucky and meet NCP in person, because if he is a man of integrity, he will ha...

I do have skin in the game. I care about my friends and have concern for their wellbeing. Given their experiences, I have no interest in working for any of the regionals though, especially ggn Just think you should have at least some facts correct before pontificating a bunch of bs. According to yo...

Re: Porter Salary

Are pilots really that much of an expense? Would these regional airlines go under if they paid F/Os say 80k and CAPTs 140k? I highly doubt it. That would be amazing, and in my opinion an adequate salary for such highly skilled job. I may even say that if the "Regionals" paid min base salary of 60K ...

That's great. Can you use your own SOPs? Profiles? Do they send you something to study before hand? I believe its a 737 Sim? Thanks again!
Just use your own. They just want to see that you have a structured approach to flying and not a single pilot cowboy

Re: A President’s Message and a must read

I am saying that there are a lot of really bad pilots out there with 10 years of experience and a lot of bad pilots that are newer but have uni. Same for great pilots, same for OK pilots................ You talk about being a pilot like it is only about the technical skills, what about the rest of ...

Who will be the better pilot, someone who has sat in a class room for ten years or someone who has flown an airplane for a living for ten years? Re: Sim Eval?

Very basic, all they are looking for is use of the second crew and some form of SOP'ish type discipline. Depending on your experience i.e. if you have done a lot of sim work then they want a bit more from you.

It will also be someone who is familiar with hiring temporary foreign workers. Here's an idea....if you actually provide a good wage and decent working conditions, you wouldn't need to work so hard to find employees that will stick around. You know, you’re asking for the impossible, are you new? I’ll get this party started, you’ve read all the bad posts about them and you’re still interested, you derserve what you get I suppose. I’ll ask the several Jazz pilots who joined recently from GGN and get back to you but I’m guessing a pulse...
