Would be interesting to know if any TS pilots are turning down a course in hopes of a better seniority if the merger goes through.

Re: New WestJet FO

In the short term you’d have a much better lifestyle at WJ.

If you’re in it for the long game WJ can’t touch AC with progression, earnings, and lifestyle.

If onex wants to play hardball with the pilots, we will just play hardball back. Just like before. I belive onex will accelerate growth and sell company via IPO in 5-10 years. Espp plan has been announced for all westjetters except pilots. Pilots are negotiating through alpa team. The replacement p...

Re: ONEX plans

Onex will be all about dat WJ until the economy slows, if it does. Does anyone really think Onex is going to sit on WJ and invest in massive expansion during a worldwide economic downturn? They are about making cash and nothing else. If things go bad like (pick your downturn) I can’t see the new bus...

you'll be sent to an "re-educaton" camp.
"Groom"!
"WestJet is the best".
"Lower the bar to compete!"

Say that over and over again forever. That'll make you a good WJ employee.

I love it when guys show up sneezing and obviously sick then brag how little sick days they use.

I love catching their colds.

Be a grown up. If you’re sick. Book off.

Re: Will a bad written exam mark affect my career?

AC definitely does not ask for flight test marks. Unless that was decades ago. Everyone I talk to right now going through the process with AC has been asked for a printout from TC’s General Aviation Online Services page which includes all your flight test and written test history. Not sure if that’...

Re: Congrats

As someone who has been with AC for over 5 years now after coming back from the sandpit - AC maybe the top of the pile here but when it comes to mainline airlines there is nothing to shout about. $2900 starting take home pay should be enough to keep good pilots away. Even the states makes this plac...

I am not AC, not TS. I get habslover intent to be funny and upset some of the folks not happy about this at AC. However, I must say you have to be pretty stupid, if not retarted, to waste so much time typing these posts. Some might find it funny, as I did when I read the first one, but I think now ...

Re: New WestJet FO

The point is if AC stagnates, everyone will. Think that left seat's going to come sooner at WJ if the economy tanks?

Slagging someone coming to AC from WJ looking for a left seat makes no sense. If it's not coming at AC. It's for sure not coming at WJ.

Re: New WestJet FO

650 pilots coming to AC with 20 wide bodies and however many narrow bodies.

28 or so max on the way. 50 220’s.

The myth of the stagnation is way over rated (at least to a NB left seat). But keep telling yourself that.

Going to AC is not my choice, it will be imposed. Some of you think that it’s an upgrade for us but it won’t be the case for everyone. 2 friends resigned from AC and one who recently joined already regrets the move. Don’t believe it’s a privilege being bought. You should totally resign if this goes...

Re: Record revenues vs 4 year flat pay

Pilots hired in late 2016/early 2017 may go down as the most fortunate group in Canadian aviation history, And they're still unhappy, with their "Children of the FOS" special interest group and coup attempts at every level of ACPA. So their concerns are not valid then? They should just be happy?

Just to keep things in perspective though, Jazz and Sky regional pilots not only don't have YOS, but also no guaranteed flow...perspective! True. Except Jazz and Sky pilots will most likely end up at AC, Not WJ. AC where pay and progression are assured. WJ where you get to aspire to seat right seat...
