Re: how long
Also the Skytrain is on a closed circuit with very few variables ever present. It's more like a model train than a real one. It's also what, 30 year old technology? Have you looked at what they are doing in mines these days ? But ya, a complex system with 500 pilotless aircraft in close formation w...

Re: how long
As for automation for flying, CN rail still has operators. Have you ever rode the Skytrain in Vancouver ? When I was 19yrs old, got a job in a mine to help fund university, worked there for 8 months driving a haul truck, 4 on 4 off shift and I was working as flying instructor on the days off. It wa...

Re: Science-Based Alternative to Ease Quarantine Act Restrictions
The original intent of the lock down in March was to give the healthcare system time to prepare for an onslaught of cases requiring hospital beds, ICU beds, ventilators, etc. That preparation was achieved months ago and now the hospitals are largely empty because the predicted rate of hospitalizati...

Re: Fatal crash at Stave Lake airstrip BC
It nosed over in the middle of the landing surface (can't really call it a runway). Nothing pointy around. So another question that the investigators will have to ask. Which occurred first, the nose over or the death ? Some of the guessing here could possibly have the cause and effect reversed.

Before changing unions we likely have to change our government You do realize, it was a conservative government that took your strike power away? Changing government will just bring back the crowd that screwed the AC pilots in the first place, because it was Lisa Raitt as transport minister with St...

The US is showing what happens if you don’t use masks or even care about distancing. If you open responsibly you can absolutely manage the virus and still keep everything open. Anyone dumb enough to put 8 Or more bums into a Navajo isn’t someone I’d want to rent to. Ho is certified for 8 seats occupied. I'd say anybody that is dumb enough to tell me that you cant use all 8 is to dumb to work for us. I haven't flown a ho since the 80's, but, doubtful they have changed much...

The President has the expertise of the CDC, NIH, FDA, Homeland Security, etc, etc, all telling him that the coronavirus should be taken seriously, yet he continued to say stupid things like it will "go away, like a miracle". It will go away like a miracle. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/co...

I really wouldn't mind learning a new skill or trade, but again the money aspect comes into play. I just don't have enough money for going back to school. Some places will convince you that you need to take some amount of 'foundation' courses to enter the trades. Not true. Son is a plumbing apprent...

I got a similar letter years ago, it said I had to go get blood pressure checked 3 times in a week. Made no sense, but booked the appts with my normal doc. Doc was on vacation, bp was taken by a locum on the first two visits, my doc was back for the third. The ultimate explanation, and there is a bi...

I don’t believe it does. That is ADS C works in the middle of the ocean. Although your ADS B could be communicating with other ADS B capable aircraft nearby. ADS B needs satellite navigation (gps) for position, but then uses transponder and ground stations to pass that to ATC. Your information is n...

Re: Open the door, no thanks
Yes, but the US’s death rate was heavily skewed by the brutal job the Northeastern states did in April/May. Since June the death rate is similar to Canada. If you look at just the southern states, it is much better than Canada. Well, if we are going to start cherry picking data, then for the Canadi...
