Re: Follow the science - is the science the actual science

https://rumble.com/vitcgn-following-the-science.html?mref=bjyoh&mrefc=2 Everyone from clergy to politicians have repeatedly said we must "follow the science". But have lockdowns, social distancing, masking, testing, and vaccination actually been following the science? In this powerful documentary, ...

I agree with the previous poster... you didn't make a mistake. You did as was told and your instructor bears all responsibility for this episode.

I think it's because it's factoring in range. 30 mins on a jet vs 45 on a non-jet, I'd assume, is probably similar in terms of range.

Re: Do you check your killer items just prior to takeoff?

Thanks, I understand that. But I respect the professionalism of your reply(and the time it took to write it) compared to the immaturity of the new green instructor(and several others). I welcome intelligent discussion on differences of opinion, and yours fits the bill. It doesn't have ridiculous, f...

Re: Do you check your killer items just prior to takeoff?

Anyway, I've printed off your mental checklist (hey, I forget things too)... and not only will I do it as a secondary check, I promised myself to do it at least 5x times, just in case I missed stuff on the first 4x. I am now 5x safer, thanks to you!    :roll...

Re: Do you check your killer items just prior to takeoff?

Sounds like our admitted 'very green instructor' would be the perfect candidate for the last accident I posted about a very green instructor. Well, yes sir, I am very much a very very green instructor. That's why I genuinely try to learn and better myself versus spending time digging other people's...

Re: Do you check your killer items just prior to takeoff?

Does anyone have any helpful suggestions for strategies to avoid making mistakes and distractions on the lists that we do have, the first time through? 1. Try to Do things the same way, in same order each time. 2. Ask Pax to be quiet from pre-takeoff to safe altitude. 3. Don't fly excessively tired...

Re: Do you check your killer items just prior to takeoff?

Why are you so upset? I am legitimately trying to become a safer and more superior pilot like yourself... and I need you to teach me the ways. Let's pick one plane, as an example, as you've flown several.... what are the memory items you check prior to getting in the plane and what are the ones you ...

Re: Do you check your killer items just prior to takeoff?

Can we get a list of the exterior items you check before getting inside the plane, and then the interior items you check prior to take off? Don't worry, I won't call it a checklist.... I'll print it off and call it "killer items" list. You surely must not be doing this off memory, correct? You must ...

One of the partners sold his share last October so we are currently operating on the temporary CofR slip while waiting for the official one to be processed. Of course, with covid, 6 months later and we're still waiting for the updated CofR to be sent back from TC. You may have a problem here, in th...

Re: CofR delays...

I take back question #2 as it wouldn't be possible for people to offer blocktime on a private aircraft, if this were true... For question #1, however, I went through the TC covid exemption list and couldn't find anything particularly for temporary CofRs. I guess we are out of luck and will have to c...
