Its been pretty dead here lately, a lot of the more prodomanent posters have been absent. I doubt spring has much to do with it. Most fly year round.

Re: Government subsidized training in Ontario
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I went to Sault college over a local FTU. As well, I'm glad I went to Sault over Confed and got my Multi-IFR paid for instead of having to do it on my own. I ended up doing a float rating in literally a weekend so I don't see why I would have gone to Confed except for th...

Re: Government subsidized training in Ontario
I would second those opinions. As a graduate of one of the Ontario subsidized Colleges, they used to be, "challenging." Now it seems anyone with a heartbeat and some money can graduate. Failed the year end qualifier? Oh don't worry, just take the year again and keep trying. The more pilots that grad...

Re: Pearson UPX Train Service
Departs every 15 min 7 days a week during "airport hours," and projected to haul 5000 people a day? Couldn't find what YYZ's "airport hours" were, but even if they are say, 5am to 12am that's 19 hours, or 76 trips, or 66 people per trip to add up to 5000 a day. 66 per trip. Also, what made them go w...

Re: ATPL Processing Times
A little ridiculous. I'm living in YWG and will be applying for my ATPL in the next 6 months. Would it be faster to walk it into the Thunder Bay Office and have the Ontario region take care of it? As well do you have to "walk it in" or can it be mailed in but only take longer?

Re: What was the first airplane you flew in?
I wish I knew... It has been driving me nuts for years. I know it was in May 1990 and I was two years old so I don't really remember, but it was from YQT to either YYZ or YHM. My relatives arn't even sure what airline. My mom is pretty sure it was Air Canada to YYZ. That means it could have been a 7...

Re: 25 Night PIC XC
Yeah, I wanna get the wheels rolling, errr props turning, ASAP. I've only been at the company for just over a month but know I don't want to leave it to the last min. Like you said, the raise will more than make up for the $2500 bill. I'm trying to budget here at my new job so money is tight, but I ...

25 Night PIC XC
So I'm currently at a job where I'm unable to move to the left seat until I have my ATPL signed off, however I don't have my full 25 night PIC XC. I have some but still need roughly 18 hours. I know this catches many people and I didn't think it would happen to me but it did. It's looking like I'm g...

Ouch, what's the reasoning behind this? That doesn't help the operators working out of there. Hopefully they fix that soon.
