Re: North Star BT67 put down on lake
I don't buy it. Max takeoff power is 100% torque and governs at 1700 rpm. Passed 400' and you set climb power, which is 95% torque and 1700 rpm. So essentially, you don't touch the props until you level out for cruise which could be anywhere between 1000-1500 rpm making sure you don't over torque p...

After she woke she used up all her phone's battery face-timing her friend.

Re: North Star BT67 put down on lake
Darker than a black steer's tokus on a moonless prairie night. And the idiots hit the ground running. This should be an easy 3 pages of mindless sleuthing by sundown. Please tell us what causes a dual turbine engine failure if not fuel. Volcanic ash? I wonder if they had enough time to get off a may...

Re: North Star BT67 put down on lake
If you landed in YPL and forgot to refuel it looks like you'd have just enough fuel to get to YFH but not much more.

Re: Reading the forums Could Prevent a Disaster like the 737 Max
Just for accuracy's sake, CWE passed on that knowledge after a DC-3 crashed on takeoff with contaminated wings. I'm not saying it's his job to stop pilots from doing dumb things. It would be weird to come on here and just randomly hand out lessons.

Re: NIA 737 MAX told to get lost
So simple minded to have a notice like that apply to aircraft already airborne. It actually makes aviation less safe by forcing a diversion. It shows how out of touch with reality regulators can be.

Do you talk to ATC the same way you title threads? Like when you are ready to taxi do you say, "You should always clear AC123 to taxi..." ?

Re: Plane crash between Medicine Hat and Moose Jaw
It seems a little conspicuous that there have been aircraft accidents associated with weddings. When my eldest daughter was married seven years ago, though I flew on my own within a few days of the big day, I did not carry any passengers. Then, two days before, I parked the plane in the middle of m...

Re: Air Canada Outbid
There's no way Rovinescu doesn't want this bad. It helps fix the MAX issue which history may remember as the biggest blunder of his career. It solves the pilot shortage. It replaces the 767's. Not to mention the obvious increase in vacation travel business. It's such a sweetheart deal that it makes ...

The acquiring firm's cost is both debt + equity of the acquired firm. AC can't buy Transat and not assume their debt. How would that work?

Re: AC offer AT $13 per share
"and convince the Quebec government to finance nearly one-quarter of the purchase." I'm wondering if that means the government has agreed already or they need to agree still. If the latter I would say that's hardly a solid offer. The offer is conditional on Quebec providing about $120 million in fi...
