Re: LifeGuard 3 King Air B200 off runway Maple Creek SK
Here's a link to the other thread discussing the same sort of thing. http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=69804 Thank God there was no one hurt in that one either but this is no way to treat public planes and pilots. I don't mind paying taxes to perform medivac flights but if airport ...

Re: LifeGuard 3 King Air B200 off runway Maple Creek SK
“Maple Creek is sort of an anomaly right on the boundary between two regions between FIC Winnipeg and FIC Edmonton,” said Hildebrand. “And the information was not readily available to the controllers (in Winnipeg) that were handling this flight.” That's criminally rediculas. Welcome to the board ba...

I'd fly that Yankee Doodle Dandy. It's an American registered plane why not paint it up like that. I bet the 'merican customs guys don't hassle him when he pulls into the nearest point of entry or whatever the kids call the airfield with customs these days.

If anyone's curious I went to Skywings at Oakatoks. They're expecting a small increase but they rent 172s from the 1970s for $133 +tax wet.

Re: Another nail for the 70's coffin..
I remember Disco being a plague on music for the most part. Boney M, The "I hear they're gay" Villiage people, The Ohio Players, K.C. and the sunshine band, The Trampps, Donna Summers and a few other notibles had some solid songs that are still great. Kind of ironic, he died on the same day as Raspu...

Re: Chatham, Ont Flight School in the news
Over 300 students a year plus the regular customers? Can a school that size even handle that kind of operation/growth? I would think even the large flight schools in this country would have trouble taking on that kind of student load. Not to sound negative, but I do hope the management knew what th...

Those guys are so lucky or maybe had a guardian angel with them or something, that was increadible. The first time I listened to it I recalled the feelings of being hypoxic and I nearly had to stop it because I could imagine being in there with them. That was brutal, once I got to the end and found ...

It's totally fun and there was a ton of information also, they did night vision training at the same time. So much for Google. I had to snoop around the Canadian Forces site for a while to find something about it. It seems to be based at the center of the Universe now. http://www.toronto.drdc-rddc.g...

That's why it's a good thing to experience for yourself. It's important to learn what symptoms you can recognize. Or to find out if you're one of the people like me and that guy that don't have any or experience euphoria. Listening to the audio tape after was pretty cool too because now you can hear...

Re: The UAE children are at it again.
If the landing fee is high enough we can afford to refund the Visa fees but obviously that's way too simple so the Government could never manage it.

Re: High Altitude Training
It used to be offered free by the military at the airforce base near Edmonton. You might be able to get it where ever they moved that training to. At the time you had to have a certain amount of people enrolled and as long as everyone traveled there they put you through. That was early 1995 though s...

flyguy didn't say he was Alex, he said he could get in touch with Alex. I have no issue with him yet, for all I know his school is much better than the club, I personally just didn't fall in love with the, "Don't go to The Calgary Flying Club their instructors might be fine for circuts but..." pitch...
