I've deleted my original post. I stand by my post, however have no interest in engaging with a troll online. I love debating, but when people start commenting on where I live and how smart I think I am, well I'm just wasting my time and it angers me. WOOOO SAAAA. You stand by counselling a pilot to...

Re: Turtle Airways FIJI
I read the local news paper article. Nothing in that article indicates there was a crash of any kind. It indicates the plane sunk while attempting take off and all the passengers got out before it sunk. Although a crash isn't out of the realm of possibility, and we all know media can be unreliable, ...

Re: Missing airplane on flight from Penticton to Edmonton
Millions would have been saved had MH370 had one! Slightly off topic. But no. Spot doesn't have global coverage. MH370 would still be a ghost. You need Iridium devices for global coverage. If you buy these devices be sure to know their limitations. In this case the pilot would have been smart to ha...

Re: The story of Buffalo Joe
"Wings above the Arctic" is another great book about bush flying in the Canadian North. There is a small piece about Buffalo in the book as well as stories about other great Arctic aviators. It's mostly a photobook but has some interesting stories and is an easy read for someone learning English.

If nukes start flying you have bigger problems than where you currently work. Just surviving would be near the top of the list....just saying.

Re: 2018 General Hiring Outlook
I think you mean 704/705 operators. Regardless I have first hand knowledge of at least 2 operations that have turned down buisness because they are short pilots. Aircraft involved were 1900's, DHC-6, and Cessna 206's. There's talk that there are many operators in this position. It appears that there...

AVCANADA Hire Me! Page
I was bored, so I was cruising the hire me page to see what the current talent pool is like out there. Plan old curiosity. Then I wondered. In all honesty, has anyone ever gotten a cold call from an aviation company based on posting their information here? It seems to me like its a long shot. Most p...

PAL AMSD King Air Positions
Hello,
Anyone out there know the compensation for the FO and Captain positions with PAL ASMD in the King Air?
I assume the high requirements are the result of a government contract. I would also like to assume the pay is commensurate.
PM if necessary.
Thanks

It would be cool to see the marks that prop left in the pavement. You can see the prop and pavement turn to dust in the video.tango308 wrote:Video from inside the cabin.

Re: Another BC ultralight down -
This time it is a Vagabond... "C-FVMV, a privately operated Piper PA-15X Vagabond aircraft, departed from Surrey/King George Airpark, BC (CSK8) on a pleasure flight with only the pilot on board. Shortly after departure, the engine (Lycoming O-200-A X) lost power and the pilot made a forced landing ...

Re: Amazing But True Accident Report
That is a comedy of errors. That accident, if you can even call it that, is almost Darwin Award worthy. I can't believe two passengers actually felt comfortable enough with this guy that they actually got back into the plane at Flagstaff! There had to be alarm bells going off.
