Re: AirTransat: for sale-Blue-rouge...?

If Transat winds up being sold what do you think happens to Air Transat?? The only reason Air Transat exists is to service Transat. Think about that. Nothing lasts forever, especially in the Canadian aviation world.

You always torque an aircrat wheel onto the axle. First is a higher torque to seat the bearings and then back off the nut. Then you retorque to a lower number as per the manual. Don't know what this guy is talking about when he says you never torque a wheel. Never been around large aircraft obviously.

Re: Profit Sharing this April ?

This is an amusing post I must say. Canadian dollar recovery? We are only in the early stages of the Canadian dollar sinking in relation to the USD. It will be dramatic. What is going to prop it up? We sold all our gold reserves and are alienating our major trade partners. Inflation rates? Those mus...

Re: Boeing Tumbles on Grand Jury Subpoena Probing 737 MAX Approval

Boeing is hooped on this one. They all took it just a little too far. Boeing share price is going to take a beating, they are open for multiple major lawsuits and Airbus will feast on it. As will the Chinese. Just watch. What is at stake here is not the fact that training will be improved, MCAS can ...

Re: WJ still flying the 737MAX on Flight aware 16/3/19?

They do not have all the rights to ferry an aircraft for maintenance. They have to apply to TC for that specific aircraft for that specific flight and be able to prove that the aircraft is in an airworthy state. Interesting conversation knowing the present ststus of the Max.

What police force was this? As long as you have not had a criminal conviction you should be fine. Even if you have they will get csis to check you out and then make a decision.

Re: Are we entering another recession?

Short answer is yes. Who cares what all the "experts" say. Look at the situation around you. Everything is peaking or has already peaked. 2019 will be the beginning of a recession in Canada and probably 2020 for the USA. Europe is already in a recession.

When the economy gets tight ,and it is only beginning, people stop spending money period. Economics 101. Check your history books well past 2008. Cargojet is leveraged up the ying yang with all those nice old high time 767's.You actually think the weak loonie will be beneficial?? You do realise that...

Re: CargoJet or Transat?

KFC was supposed to have the Purolator contract "forever" because Barry was some kind of guru. We all know how that worked out. You know who the president of Cargo Jet is right? He counts his nickels and dimes. When, not if, the Canadian economy goes into freefall air freight is one of the first to ...

No it is the same. If I have a choice it is AC, not because I like AC but because I do not have to put up with the Westjetty bs for the same money.

What is with these companies who repeatedly post for the same positions over and over? Nobody is interested, get over it. Try something different.

I very seriously doubt that they have been allowed to walk away from the NTCL disaster that easily. That just sounds like marketing sleaze.

The bankruptcy of NTCL is probably the final nail in the coffin for Norterra and it's little group of companies. $140 million is a a substantial chunk of money to be on the hook for. Good luck.

I had a Platinum Card for many years and it has some advantages if you are able to exploit them. But you have to deal with AMEX (dicks) and a lot of merchants want nothing to do with AMEX (dicks).

With 5T being a private company you sure know a lot about their financial health. 5T has 3 Oil companies under contract and other upcoming charter obligations. BTW the codeshare agreement is working as intended so far. Any more insight? Well now aren't we defensive.. Charter "obligations" indeed, do...
