Re: Canadian aerobatic

I may need to get off this forum. That plane sounds way too good. has the longer fuse(lage) Nice. PS I am told there are lots of guys that can give Pitts dual in Alberta, so learning to land it shouldn't be a problem. Would the longer fuselage be better for tall folk? Any idea on costs for the Alber...

I wouldn't describe myself as "worried" still I would do something to clean up a puddle of any industrial fluid I spilled. Dog's are more likely to be with a person to tell it not to drink the puddle. In my Dad's garage hanging around with a family cat years ago I had to stop it from lapping up the ...

Re: Borek Pilot Murdered?

As much as things in some ways are better for homosexuals than a dacade ago there's still many people out there with hatred. I'm happy that someone removed one post in this thread displaying the type of ignorance and cruelty that this pilot may have feared. Yet I guess It should have been left to sh...

Weeeeeeeeeee.

As Hedley mentioned somewhere if you happen to make a puddle that someone's cat finds there will be probably be a person upset about their dead cat. Prestone I think was advertising a non-toxic one at one time. I don't know how that one compares as deice fluid. I'll give those links a read. Most of ...

Re: Private Aircraft Owners - Winter is Coming!

I think it can be pretty nasty for the enviroment being toxic. It does dilute nicely though and probably would take a lot of it to catch up with the water tables.

Are you thinking of Methal Hydrate? Same thing it dilutes well and is not very harmfull if the levels are low enough.

Unfourtunatly for my skills I have never taken off or landed on anything but a nice bare runway. Mostly paved, once on gravel and a couple of times on dry grass. I didn't think the grass was much different from the pavement, I'm told it is. Some of these problems seem to be because we are creatures ...

Re: Route South to Florida from Eastern Ontario

That plane is spectacular Hedley. It makes me think of the grumman amphibs. No wonder the 'mericans were looking it over I bet in their minds it was coming from Columbia via YYZ. Too funny. What is it exactly? I kind of want one. I was going to post, "I stayed in the plane when I returned from the U...

ARCAL is a system that a pilot can use his radio to turn them on with.

Re: LifeGuard 3 King Air B200 off runway Maple Creek SK

In a small town, I have found the fiction is always worse than fact and the story being told is that the town was negligent in snow removal. That could only be true if they were operating an uncontroled airport used by medivac planes that did not have a NOTAM declare "RWY closed due to snow" when s...

Good advise Captain. I don't have mountain flying experience. I just have flying from YBW to the coast and back Via Penticton and Revelstoke. Thread derail complete. That makes a little more sense of that dude at the museum telling me an engine should be operated every two weeks. Tell me more about the 2F now that you've straightened me out I guess you should be leaving it in there and running the engine every two weeks. Obvious problem w...

The lamp posts should be well away from the runway. They break wings.

The brush won't help if it's buried in snow.
