Re: More grist for the F18 replacement mill..

In my opinion the rational for picking an aircraft that patrols primarily sparsely settled expanse of countryside like Canada is: does it have one engine or two? If you lose an engine in a single engine plane no matter how fantastically marvellous it is, you lose the plane and possibly the pilot. Wi...

Re: Lion Air 737 MAX 8 Crashes in Indoesia

“People like me” just want to have a way of not being in planes that seem to have a mind of its own and hurtling out of control killing all on board including the confused pilots. :)

Re: Lion Air 737 MAX 8 Crashes in Indoesia

Maybe planes (especially with sidestick controls) should have a red robust centrally located 3 position switch labeled “Auto L” @ 10 o’clock position, “Auto R” @ 2 o’clock position, and an “Auto Off” @ 6 o’clock position. There should also be 2 green lights below the L and R switch positions. The A...

Re: Not exactly a confidence builder

I can just imagine the FO's face... Finally getting out of 703 ops and bullshit, you make it to Air Canada. Sitting in your glorious jet with a grin on your face. Your butt still a little bit sore from the AC medical. Top notch 705 maintenance. No cutting corners. You take the logbook, you look at ...

What makes you say Royal had poor maintenance? In Canada, C3 was the second largest airline after Air Canada at the time.

Re: BC Mid-Coast Beaver Video

It's a nice view from up front at FL 340 at times but this type of flying has it beat.
Well done video too.
