Maybe they didn't like your attitude g5, and wanted to cover their butts. ...a mountain check was not required for local flights UNLESS an Instructor was uncomfotable with an individaul pilots skills . Remember the operator is the one that owns the $100,000 plus aircraft and does not want it turned ...

Re: Flair Airlines
They don't have a base - they're baseless  You'll fly out of Edmonton for a bit, then go fly out of Toronto for a bit, then fly from Hamilton for a bit...great lifestyle. I also heard recently that the Captains get a salary and the rest of the flight deck crew members get mileage - I find that ...

Re: kelowna flightcraft .. hiring
NewCPL, you're obviously from the generation of folk who don't care to take the time to spell whole words...I wonder if you conduct yourself as thoroughly while flying on the line. As for the rest of your flame, I'll say that I've done time as an oiler on the 27. I will agree that the experience is ...

Re: 727 S/O life
In conversation with one of the pilots with KF, it's time on type that matters in a situation like you're describing.
I was told you'll need 1500 on type (right-seat time) if you don't have any other experience on transport-category aircraft.

Mighty mouse and NewCPL, who the hell are you punks? NewCPL, sounds to me like you've never been an S/O on a 727 so you don't really know how bad or good it really is/was; you have to rely on the jaded opinions of other people to make your assesment. Mighty mouse: "You have to wonder when one will o...

Re: 727 S/O life
Not much to add except my own opinion; the pay issue is all relative to what levels of pay you've enjoyed in the past. For some people it'll be less, for others it could be more money per paycheque than they've seen up to that time in their career. If all you want to do is to fly airplanes, then it'...

Re: KFC in YQT
The run out of YQT is to YWG; you sit around @ YWG for a few hours and then fly back home to YQT, 5 nights a week.
Pretty cushy, no-good for building time quickly if that's what you're after.

Re: Whats the weirdest thing you have seen on final?
Fourth of July/Canada Day weekend time last year, on final approach to runway 30 at Hamilton, advised by tower that there had been fireworks observed in the vicinity of the threshold of runway 30. As we descended below 1000' AAE, they started again, coming from the vicinity of the go-kart track. As ...

I too know Robin and Bonnie from their time at Juan Air and I don't think you know what you're talking about, bodacious.

I've heard that there's another 737-400 coming along sometime, adding to the one they already operate(?). I was talking to one of the mechanics there and he said that Barry was crowing about another 737 for they boyz and girlz to wrench on. Adding and clarifying to the previous poster, one of the KF...

Wow!!! That's some lucky pilot!!! What program did he enroll under? Interesting...groundpilot wrote: A guy here now is 22. Most of us are 26/27 like you said though.
Is it the one where you don't have to have a degree in-hand, but have to work towards one on your own time?

"Right-you-are, Kenny!" ...and typically that's 2 to 3 years after a pilot completes his or her Military College or equivalent University degree, basic flying training & officer training. The earliest age a person could expect to become a fighter pilot in the CF, under the current training regime, ...
