Yes but do you know why? The other NB aircraft have a good amount of self-monitoring of their systems and will tell you when something fails whether you’re using it at the time or not. The 737 just lets you figure it out yourself.

How would this be actioned? Would AC send you a bill for the difference between what you’re currently making and the flat pay you’d otherwise be on?

Re: AC Jetz

Jetz just uses ordinary mainline A320 pilots. There’s no specific bid line for Jetz flights so if you want to try and do them (or avoid them) you have to pick through the pairing package every month and tweak your bid accordingly. The FAs and mechanic are on year-long assignments to a specific team ...

Re: PFOed 😑

It’s the last thing anyone wants to do in this position, but does Jazz offer any kind of debrief on their interview? If you unintentionally come off as a tool in an interview it’s better to know sooner rather than later.

And? They’re hiring qualified people as is their intent. The amount of main character syndrome found in modern pilots is truly insane.

I’ve done far more procedure turns than DME arcs, and I’ve done one DME arc.

Re: How long until you hear back from AC?

Maybe some guys just think they are automatically hired. It was that. Existing in the system for a given amount of time only gives you an opportunity to show what you’ve got, it does not automatically qualify you for anything. Seems there’s a lack of understanding about that in our line of work. Ob...

Re: How long until you hear back from AC?

Couple things: 1. Applicants are scored on a number of factors and their files placed in order by score. Groundschool offers draw from the top. 2. I was speaking to an interviewer recently and they have not been impressed with some of the attitudes they get from Jazz candidates. You can feel however...

Dress for the job you want. The uniform looks a lot like a traditional suit so start there. For my last interview my goal was for it to be my last interview so I wanted every advantage I could get, however small. Since I had to buy a new suit anyways I chose one in the same colour as the airline I w...
