Re: Shoreland Transport

James Ellis, the Chief Pilot ignores current crews issues and applicants rarely get reply.
Atlantic charters on Grand Manan owners have a bad reputation but this operation is even worst.

Great company to start with. I suggest emailing your application to chief pilot Kevin then follow up with phone call.
Well maintained machines and best of all great group to work with.

Re: ATPL Application process tips

Hi guys, Just as a heads up, I applied for my ATPL at the YUL office back in December, and I just received an email concerning my hours as co-pilot on King Air A100. They want a letter from the company confirming that their SOP's require a co-pilot for the operation since its a ''Single pilot plane...

Source?
Company's last 2 quarterly statements said slowing global demand for shipments. Less shipping very likely means fewer aircraft needed.

Re: CMA vs PASCO

Pasco is looking for Captains and FOs. They were offering bonuses in the last version of the job add but not this one. CMA also seem to be looking for Captains and FOs for all of their machines. Looks like the pilot shortage is working its way into the smaller operators as AC hires 500/yr! I imagin...

Re: CPL written and harvs ground school desperate help

I can tell you from experience that Harv’s will not issue a written exam recommendation for someone who’s name Is not on the account. As well, they require a certain percentage on the practice exams before giving a recommend. So this will not work. Might be best to put your ground school on hold fo...

How is an experienced king air captain with ATPL less qualified and not hired ?

Re: Hiring outlook

It wasn’t that long ago that you had to spend 5 to 10 years in the bush doing hard time before you had the time and relevant experience to get into Westjet. Now you can slide into Encore with a thousand hours of day VFR Caravan time. It wasn’t that long ago that you needed 3,000 hours to sit left s...

Hiring department Busy for awhile, I'm getting tired of pulling the power back to screw up the jazz flights following me in. Loved not long ago when I took extra time after getting in position for t/o to make a jazz dash having to go around hahaha. [/quote] Seriously? And you consider your self a p...

this has been a long silence. :| Hope they will do something soon. :( Jazz just took 203 pilots from GGN and just completed a huge equipment bid with over 160 planned upgrades.....I can only assume hiring department is a little busy at the moment. There will still be tons of OTS hiring, just have t...

Re: Air Tindi Flight Missing

Illya Kuryakin , what are the three recent fatal accidents you are talking about? Other than this latest one, I can only think of the Caravan that crashed several years ago. You know, the one where the pilot was high on drugs. What's the third? There was no recent third fatal accident, lllya kuryak...

Re: Getting a call

I was wondering... What kind of flying hours profile Jazz is looking for if a said person doesn’t have an aviation degree, and is a modular / self study pilot? Of course the seneca guys (nothing against them) have a fast track with 250 hours, but it’s not the case for the rest of us... Feel free to...
