Re: 48÷2(9+3)
I have a Sharp scientific calculator,
When I type the equation in as 48/2(9+3) it gives an answer of 2.
When I type it in as 48/2*(9+3) it gives an answer of 288.
No word of a lie. try it.

Re: Degrading vision
There is no limit on uncorrected vision for a Cat 1 medical.
Mine is brutal when uncorrected ( something like 20/400)
My contacts correct it to better than 20/20 and i've never had any sort of problems with my Cat 1.

I think it has alot to do with our old faithful customers are just getting too old or have past o...

Hey BBB,
Just wondering if there are guys that actually get on with the minimums (500TT and a float rating) or is there a more realistic number that they look for. Thanks in advance.

Float Plane Passenger Briefing
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can post an example passenger brief for a 185/beaver or similar aircraft on floats. Looking for tips on how to give a comprehensive safety brief that includes all of the legal requirements in a way that doesn't make the passengers feel uneasy.

Re: Employment and Weight?
200# isn't that big anymore...if a guy was 300#, then there might be an issue. Besides, as flight crew, and not having any carry-on, you only weigh 187 in the summer and 193 in the winter! Correction, according to TC this is now 200/206 pounds for males. It's North America, so waistlines cont...

Re: Are pilots still being hired directly from Flight School
There was no Jazz award last year, at least not at Confederation. A buddy of mine was at Selkirk, and there was no award there either. Your chances are very very very slim of being hired by jazz. If you are chosen as the award recipient (which I'm not sure even exists anymore) you still have to go t...
