Re: Are Amber Alerts affecting your flight safety?

Re: Swoop

The medical issue aside, was the arguing over the refunds really worth it in the long run? Why do soooo many organizations do this? The bad PR is never considered. That family will never fly Swoop again, and they’ll be sure their friends know. I had the same experience with a winery who flatly refu...

They are not "making" that, they are guaranteed that (75 hour/mo) flying pay in the first year.

I thought they were currently getting 70 hours a month?

Currently showing 836 vacancies. That doesn't include retirements over the next year, fleet expansion, increased positions for new duty rules, etc.

Nor does it include the merger of Air Transat pilot however.

My personal experience with their hiring process was overwhelmingly negative, and unprofessional, and personally I would never apply there again. But to each his own. What happened to you? I remember heading out to Abbotsford for an interview and never got an answer afterwards. After a month or so ...

Interesting that KLM's latest advertising suggests that you ask yourself if you really need to fly or not. It's obviously virtue signalling as I'm sure they did the math and realized they could put out something like this and it wouldn't hurt their bottom line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4htp2...

Coming with zero flight time you will start with 18 months of integrated ATPL training at Seneca followed by the CRJ200 type ratin...

Re: Air Canada Pay

I believe that is the truth for you Schnitzel but many AC pilots are forced to listen to their friends and acquaintances go through some kind of weird coping mechanism to justify why it's a good thing they never applied, or did and got PFO'd. So we tend to automatically tune out when someone starts ...

I had 5000+ hours command and an ATPL I would have done anything to be an FO on the -8 at Jazz and never could get a call from them. Honestly I think there was some problem with Jazz's HR or application system back in the day. I could never get a response out of them either but had no problems gett...
