Rumour has it those are flights being operated by Swoop for Sunwing.

Not at all what we were talking about but thanks.JohnnyHotRocks wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 7:31 am With over 3000 resumes it appears the WAWCON is good enough.
I have seen some laid off airline pilots taking corporate jobs that were regularly turned down pre covid because the pay was too low. People need to eat.

YOU WISH :smt040 No I don’t wish, I couldn’t care less. I’m one of the lucky ones still employed, just my observation. Re: Morningstar
You never know what someone's motivation is without speaking to them. You can't assume that someone who has worked at AC or Sunwing and sees a future of commuting to YYZ after a possible recall wouldn't want this job. Maybe there is some guy out there who no longer gives a flying Fokker about the l...

Re: Travel starting to come back?
Looks great, except these were Sunwing vacations operated on Air Canada aircraft, not Sunwing aircraft. The Sunwing Tour Group and Sunwing Vacations are still active, but it looks like they're using other carrier's to get their passengers down south while the airline remains grounded. https://www.s...

Re: How to get rid of ACPA?
Before changing unions we likely have to change our government You do realize, it was a conservative government that took your strike power away? Changing government will just bring back the crowd that screwed the AC pilots in the first place, because it was Lisa Raitt as transport minister with St...

Seems like for a company with two pilots they post more often then they should for pilot opportunities. Should be enough of a red flag.

Re: Anyone lost faith in Porter's restart
I have wondered why they dont just operate of their YHZ base and run an East Coast bubble airline. Tap into the market that AC pulled out of Well the tap into the Atlantic bubble would not work. They’re not going to run a Q from YHZ to any of the NB destinations (those were mostly people connecting...

Hoping this will be a helpful resource I don’t want to hit you where it hurts, but it won’t help finding your new job. You will have to go work on the ramp somewhere, or go as a flight instruc...

Maybe they know and care very little about cars. Might only take a quick glance, think it’s a VW bug and be proud of you for being comfortable with your sexuality.

Re: New Quebec Regional "Treq"
I figured PAL airlines would have jumped at this opportunity when AC announced their intentions. Considering they already have Dash’s and access to more through EIC and already fly scheduled routes on several of routes AC has dropped throughout Quebec and the East. (Ex. Mont Joli, 7 Islands, Wabush....

Re: Morningstar
I have a few questions for current employees. When did Morningstar move their ATR to YYC? Is this new? Are they moving Boeing flying to the ATR or picked up new routes for it? Also, are they moving the YMX airplane out west, or picked up another one? Lastly, what is the current pay scale on the ATR...

Re: Will Westjet survive?
Management didn't try to paint pilots as the devil, ya'll did that when you lined the road on investors day. All that press scared off would be WJ flyers to our competition. Cost the organization millions. All for what? Seriously, what did the bottom 80% get out of this? Calling me a bunch of names...

Re: Will Westjet survive?
If/when WJ comes out the other side of this, it will be a sad shell of it’s former self :( The same can be said for any airline in the world at the moment. WestJet is actually above the average airline in it's cash reserves as a portion of it's operating costs (as is Air Canada), based on it's last...

It looks like corporate will recover long before the airlines. https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2020-06-02/flexjet-chief-sees-upside-bizav-post-covid Airline guys have been accepting lower and lower pay through the decades. Hopefully when corporate opens back up they don’t ...

Re: Will Flair/Sunwing survive
Sunwing is going nowhere - the Sunwing group is very large and the airline is only a small part of it. Yes it’s true the airline is only a fraction of Sunwing’s business, however every other “business” they have has likely been severely affected. Their size could be a negative in this situation not...
