Re: Coronavirus Numbers

Has anyone here ever heard of Sweden? Or Iceland? Or South Korea? Or Taiwan to name a few countries that are Ist world and have not locked down the population? They are doing just fine and their economies are in intact. Figure it out.

Re: WestJet Group Hiring Freeze

Wow, how did Trudeau kill the economy? Well he killed it, knocked it on it's head, kicked it in the balls, whatever euphemism you like. Don't believe I said he had anything to do with the rest of the world but suit yourself. You do not put a full stop on everything and actually believe things will j...

And at no point did they shut down society. You have seen nothing yet and I am not talking about the flu virus. Most people will lose their shirts, pants, cars, trucks, pensions, etc.. Divorce rate set to skyrocket. And the economy, well once someone who can act as a leader steps in and puts their f...

Laying off all pilots and other employees has never happened? Where have you been hiding all your life? It has happened many times. Get used to it.

Air North is not essential. The only destination they serve that may be termed essential is Old Crow. The rest of their destinations are all simply convenience. You can drive everywhere they fly to on a scheduled basis except Old Crow.

No delusion here buddy. You Westjet cheerleaders keep your heads in the sand. The mother of all financial crisis is knocking at the door. Onex is a big player and they will liquidate Westjet faster than you can wrap your head around that fact. Have fun. Once this virus pandemic has run it's course w...

Re: Recession incoming

Here is the funny part: There is no more stimulus. Europe shot it's wad some time ago introducing negative interest rates. They are toast. The EU is going to splinter and the Euro is going away. Good luck over there. Here we have no leader and the C dollar is being beaten on the head with a big stic...

Re: Is Air North reliable?

If you want to be sure you are going to get somewhere look elsewhere. If you want decent in flight service (but no entertainment service of any kind) and don't mind being stranded somewhere for no reason and no backup aircraft available to pick up the slack go for it.

Wow rwm1273 you must be a superhero. According to your numbers you work +/- 5,000 hours a year. There are 8760 hours in one year. Bravo. If you sleep 8 hours a day that is 2,920 hours a year. Which leaves you 2.3 hrs a day to eat and whatever else you do with your life. Awesome.

Don't sign. If the company wants you bad enough they will drop the requirement. If you already work for them and they insist you sign a bond to stay employed make sure you have a witness. And take them to court when they try to collect. You will probably win. Air Canada, Canadian North, Cargo Jet, T...

All these fools chasing something that does not exist. What a farce. Reminds me of that old adage "a fool and his money are easily parted". Wait for it.
