Re: WestJet pilots to strike because $300K a year ain't enough
Toronto is one of the most expensive airports on planet. Until very recently it was number 1. The fees here are also insane, just look at the breakdown of your fare and see how much the airline is actually getting. For me, it’s the terminal 1. The most modern and efficient airport terminal worldwid...

Re: How to build PIC/CX while an FO
Rent a plane. Realistically it's the only option at this point. I don't want to crap on you, but your story should serve as a cautionary tale. I have heard this story from A LOT of pilots: they get a job offer on a decent size airplane straight out of school. It's a great starting job until they re...

Re: Future AME Discouraged
They exist Pat. You know they do and we both know they are far and few between unfortunately. I was doing this for almost 30 years, and in all seriousness I never found ONE employer that I reflect on thinking "Yeah, that was a great place to work." Not one. Some were less shite than others but none...

Re: Future AME Discouraged
OK, from the maintenance perspective, how about naming a couple? They exist Pat. You know they do and we both know they are far and few between unfortunately. Can you name one? Yep, I can name a couple… BUT would it matter? You all seem to be hell bent on raising shit online and being butt hurt on ...

Re: Future AME Discouraged
News flash. Not all aviation related companies are junk. Sorry that you feel so bitter about your experiences but you aren’t speaking for all of us. OK, from the maintenance perspective, how about naming a couple? They exist Pat. You know they do and we both know they are far and few between unfort...

Re: Future AME Discouraged
This industry is a piece of sh*t, people in this thread who disagree are looking for silver lining! I don’t disagree with you in regards to certain negative aspects but I do wonder why someone harbouring hatred towards Canadian aviation would even waist their time on a Canadian aviation forum…. By ...

Re: Signing bonus of DEC Dash
Am I the only one thinking that 25K once taxed as a “bonus” doesn’t leave very much skin in the game? Rejoice all you want… but it’s a paltry sum at the end of the day for someone who’s already typed. Ah Canadian aviation, what a cluster f$&k! Considering this is a first in Canada for something lik...

Re: AEROCOURSE
Im going to be taking the aerocourse to prep for my upcoming ATPL exams. I was hoping to get an understanding of what is covered throughout the few days. Do they focus on the content of the exam? Or more so on how to respond and dissect the questions that you can expect to get? *Disclaimer* My self...

That’s the issue. The Sponson ripped off and looks to have taken the RH aileron out in the process.North Shore wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 9:13 am Odd - I thought that there were breakaway bolts on the sponson or strut?
Brutal. Just brutal.

Re: CL215 Crash Greece - july 2023
CL215 crashed in Greece. After the drop, a piece of yellow metal came loose from the airplane (elevator? aileron?) They hit a tree, taking out the RH sponson which then looks to have taken out the RH aileron. We just watched it in the ready room. Very hard to watch to say the least. Fly safe, TPC
