It could be a year, or five, jsut depends on movement. AC takes a lot of our guys, Harmony and the rest also. When there is movement in the indusrty we are the first to lose guys.

We lost some of our best people to Harmony, and from what I hear its a very good place to work. In any event, I'm pretty positive all the negative rumors on here are just that, rumors. I'll wager harmony only gets stronger. They have good management and good people working for them.

I was at the Ottawa airport a while ago, some lady walked up to us and asked if I was traveling to Toronto, then asked if we have ever used Porter. She then gave each of us two round trips for free.

I love airlines that give out free trips:)

The 757 can carry 3 more cans than the 727, fuel burn YHM - YWG almost the same, 757 cost 18 million plus cargo door installation, , 727 1-3 million. Won’t be any changes in Canada in my opinion.

Dont care if the tower needs you off the runway, this is your career not theirs. Land normaly in the touch down area. Slow to a fast taxi, get off where insturcted to. If you're on aproach behind me and Im not off in time, to bad go around (of course I will try) and if Im behind you, Ill go around, ...

Id say, rent an apartment in the Highpark area first and get to know the GTA. Highpark (Bloor and Keele) is probably the best area for anyone in aviation with a quick commute to the airport via car or subway and is a safe nice area with lots of kids and a large green park. Rent, so you can get to kn...

I don’t think they took off and landed again, if you look at the video the nose comes up, and remains up for quite some time. Ill bet they were just overweight, saw the end coming, went firewall thrust and blew and engine.

Big airplanes have big wings and big engines. No chance of wheels touching on a cat I. Cat II,, its a possibility.

Also (generally) up to flaps 15 is lift, after that its just drag. At flaps 30 or 40, you have so much drag the engines are spooled up.

I think the idea is not that you know your stuff, not to see if you can memorize answers, but just to check that your brain is working in a rational way. I don’t think individuals with concentration problems (or other problems) could get through the exam even if you did have the answers memorized. S...

Yes the Flair issue is a bit of a sore spot with our pilots. Mainly so because you think you have gone the extra mile to make things work, reliable and profitable, and then this happens. Over all, I think KFC management is a very fair bunch. Yes, we all get our backs up when we’re told we will be wo...

Unions dont kill companies... well ok some do, but not Canjets. Not all unions are heavy hitters. Take us for example. We are half way through our current contract and we just gave large concessions for new work. Any time KFC management has come to us looking for something, we always discussed the s...

1) This is not the type of pilot group which would benefit from unionizing. I believe LSP was poking at KFC management with the unionizing comments and not the actual pilots. 2) Also, ACE was having trouble for a long time. Their pilots were becoming organized but this did not squeeze ACE out of exi...
