Re: Is buying a plane to build enough hours a thing in Canada

I was fortunate enough that my uncle needed an aircraft to hunt/scout/transport for business. I built up pic, and xc. For my commercial by flying him around the YT. He then sold it and moved up to a 185. I figure it saved me at least 10k

Re: JAL A350 collision & fire

Looking at the radar traces most arrival were on 34L and de partures on 34Ri noticed at time of accident a simultaneous approach on both the L &R. Also it was a coastguard aircraft and wasn't broadcasting ads-b. FFS I fly in the USA all the time and their fighter jets broadcast ads-b until operation...

Re: Canada given C grade in flight safety oversight, confidential UN agency report finds

I’ve never seen someone so upset about having to get some PIC time. You’ve complained about it on so many threads. I’d recommend you speak with your member of parliament if it bothers you that much. Because it's a retarded ancient rule. EASA doesn't do it, while their airspace is 100x more busy air...

The C210 gear door mid goes a long way towards dealing with the gear issues. The strutted 210 would be my preference

I have heard that new Dec's have asked for and received 120 to start. If they offer you the job, remember you get what you negotiate.

Question for a liberal, why are so many liberals against carbon tax now?
Because it is an election losing issue. They are afraid of losing power. Not because they came to their senses

Something like 90% of the complaints in yyz are from 6 phone #s......most are on the approach for 15/33. If the airport authorities were smart they would track them down get a real estate professional to offer them 10% over appraisal, but then put a restrictive covenant preventing complaints as they...

Well in my 15+k time most was 704, with only occasionally getting maybe 1/50 hr getting an autopilot that wasn't voice activated. 6 leg days to handflown approaches makes you a very competent stick
