A nice little tip of the hat to old 315 but lacking a bit in the accuracy department. 315 passed 45,000 hours quite a while ago, the CAF has 32 Hercs and 5 Airbus A310s and 315 is the world's high time military C130. L100s and 382s that have to earn their keep with a commercial operation get a lot m...

Flapless, I'm not sure why you care at this point. Knowing whether or not it was rebuilt isn't going to make anything better now! But, if you really need to know, pull the cylinder head. Interested in a floatplane rating?
$300/hr for a 180 on floats in Yellowknife? Are you kidding? Grab it! I had to get my rating on a 180 for my insurance coverage and I was lucky enough to find one near me for $285/hr. I was reading a story today about a group of enthusiasts who revisited the Barilko crash site this spring. I have always wanted to at least fly over it and have a look. Does anybody have the co-ordinates or know who may have them? PM please or there won't be anything left to see!

Renumeration for float pilots
Firstly, let me agree with you that anyone who works his (or her) way up through the ranks of the dock hands and the "new guy" jobs in a bush operation, has earned all the money they'll get and more. However... Secondly, I am reminded of the last time I went to renew my mortgage. I had my pay stubs,...
