Re: basic skilss/instincts
Some kids have horrible childhoods and grow up to be great people. Some kids have great childhoods and grow up to be the next sadistic serial rapist/murderer. I suspect that the same is true of pilot training. People either take advantage of good experiences, and overcome bad ones, or they don't. a...

AF443 - could it have happened in a boeing?
The theory is that since the joysticks in an airbus arent linked, the captain and the cruise captain couldnt tell that the junior pilot was yanking back during most of the stall. I know nothing of airbuses, who gets control authority when the sticks are moved in different directions? http://video.fo...

Re: What ever happened to Bob Diemert
I found that very interesting, I tried to do a little research on Mr. Diemert and it was heartening to see this comment from december 2010 in response to an article about the film; "I want a copy of this film, Bobs wife in the film is an aunt of mine, I know them very well and talked to Bob just yes...

Re: Did Iran literally hijack a US stealth drone?
What I suspect happened is the thing simply had an engine failure and glided to a landing. That would explain the relatively intact nature of what they displayed. Exactly, one of many failures could have thrown the thing into a flat spin or a falling leaf mode where it could come out in nearly one ...

Re: Pilot locked in bathroom causes terror scare
Awesome!! You were on the plane!! Can you tell us more about the incident? You know how the media leaves out the good stuff. Wtf is up with this attitude? Nark being logical and clearly smarter than you, made the assumption that on this airline flight there were 2 pilots. Now when one gets up to ta...

Pilot locked in bathroom causes terror scare
He was caught with his pants down. A pilot who accidentally locked himself in the bathroom of his LaGuardia-bound plane caused a terror scare last night when a helpful passenger with an accent tried to come to his rescue by banging on the cockpit door. The embarrassing comedy of errors began when th...

Re: Your airplanes are crap/great!
I did about half my license on a katana and the other half on 150/172s, now ive never flown behind any glass but I do have a pretty good comparison of new vs. old (mostly 60s model cessnas). To start out, they are all airplanes and fly accordingly, yes both have their quirks but I'd be lying if I wa...
