Re: Wil Jazz hire with instructing time only?

All depends whether you score enough diversity points with Jazz. I have 1900 hours with ATPL signed off, 900 multi turbine time. Got PFOd. Personally, I though it was the best interview experience that I've ever had, and they seemed to like every answer I gave them.... Grow up. Theres plenty of ric...

Re: Companies Laying off.

AC, WestJet and Envcore’s flying is down by 90% or more as well yet their unions managed to get a mitigation deal done to spread the pain, share the work and reduce the lay-off numbers yet our MEC at Jazz couldn’t do a similar deal in the same period. Inquiring minds would like to know. Hey sceptic...

As the title states I'm sitting at 1000+ hrs. Trying to figure out the next move. All depends whether you score enough diversity points with Jazz. Re: What next?

Thanks for all the replies. I understand that doing the skydive pilot job is better than being unemployed however will the extra 200 hours or so of flight experience on the 206 be of any benefit to me? The regional airline was already interested in me with my 800 total hours however with this huge ...

Absolutely hate the washrooms in Montreal for this reason. How hard is it to replace those useless things.

Re: Everyone’s talking about it...

How many of you have said or heard “it’s going to take a crash before things change here” Pretty much anyone working in the industry at the 705 level feels the way in my experience, and the scary thing is a few people I know who are sim instructors at various airlines are saying it too. The only on...

Re: DEC

There are 2 remaining Express carriers. Both now are manifesting issues of lack of internal candidates for upgrade. Big problem at Jazz is the upgrade treadmill (as there are no min experience requirements for upgrade other than ATPL). Get hired. Upgrade in 12-18 months. Leave for AC 3 months later...

Upgrades on the Q in YVR are going under a year right now. The RJ is close to 2 still if my math is correct.

Is it just me, or do the ads that pop up between every post make this site almost unusable? Not just you. Long loading times and way too much battery and data usage as well. It is becoming expensive to use this website. I run Ad Blocker Pro which loads through Safari on my IPad and works great as I...

Re: August Equip Bid

The biggest barrier to Jazz providing 60% going forward (for example 0.6 x 600 = 360) for 2020 is the lack of qualified candidates (ATPL plus 2000 hours). The big winners will be the recent Jazz hires who meet these minimum qualifications and could leapfrog those that do not. So is it not a 2 year ...

Re: Arthritis

You can ask your TC Doctor. I suspect it's the same as blood pressure medication. Transport Canada doesn't have a policy on it. The FAA requires you take a week to make sure you are stabilized on a new prescription, but transport has no information available, My mom used to get cortisone shots and ...
