Re: Convert Canadian ATPL to FAA
It's easy to switch FSDOs, just call the main number in Oklahoma and they will move the paperwork. The hardest part is getting your verification letter with your medical showing as valid as TC is sooooooo far behind. The knowledge exam is pretty easy. Mostly the trick type questions where you have t...

Re: All you underpaid airline pilots...
This is precisely what I would like to know. I believe Atlas was doing EB-2's which also take 18+ months. H1B is gamble too. If something goes sideways, you go home. EB-3 visas are quick as long as you are Canadian born. Mine was less than 4 months. Citizenship doesn't matter, place of birth does f...

Re: Evas Assisting with Immigration
The job ad makes it sound like Evas is targeting foreign nationals with foreign pilots certificates, and no right to work in Canada. Evas is then willing to sponsor said foreign national and assist them to become a permanent resident of Canada. ... Do you not see a problem with this? There isn't an...

Honestly, what NC brings this hot pile of shit to vote in this environment? Easy NO vote and a union recall.

Still yet to see what sponsorship they're offering. H1Bs are currently for 2024 applications. And it's still a lottery. If there EB3 it can be a lot faster. Here is an ad for a server, at the restaurant at Gander Airport. Pays more than F/O at EVAS before TIPS!. This restaurant use to be owned by P and F White who own EVAS. Seems they sold it after the got sued by the Town of Gander over backed up property taxes. https://www.glassdoor.ca/job-listing/ser...

Minimum wage in NL would be about $29k/yWellThatAgedWell wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 2:01 pm What's minimum wage at home base? Do FOs even make what a full time min wage McDonald's chef makes?
I bet the Circle K job posted on indeed pays ore than minium wage however.

Some how they are still around, like a roach after nuclear Armageddon.
Here is their freshly negotiated memorandum. I feel dirty just reading it.

5. The pay is way, way more than double Canada by time you factor in benefits, taxes, buying power of the USD, and the pay rates at the US carriers. First year Captain at a ULCC will out earn, or come very close to the most senior airline pilots in Canada if you factor in the full circumstances. Ta...

Re: All you underpaid airline pilots...
Can the EB-3 visa be granted without a job offer from a US company? Negative G is correct. The only caveat.... Most places won't direct sponsor for EB-3. An employee can leave 6 months after filing even if the Green Card hasn't been issued. So it's too risky for most companies. Most will transition...

The best options are likely corporate 135 jobs. You could also just go get your ATP and then apply for this job at Frontier as your foot in the door. Unless you're an astronaut, 10+ years of experience, ex-mil, 10,000 hours, 705 command time etc I doubt an NIW will be approved. It's funny how some ...

Charter 6 rights apply to interprovincial travel for living and work. As to leaving or returning to Canada, it is only that. Working outside of Canada does not involve any charter rights, only the right to return to the country. Interesting...I think that it would have to be done on the quiet, othe...

Well thank goodness you’re here to tell us why. Hopefully you’ll continue to tell us more of your facts. Let's hear some success stories guys when they start to roll in. Discussing rather than withholding is how we benefit our winged brethren. If you are successful then what does it hurt to share your success AND assist others in succeeding? The pathetic situation at Air Canada is what happens when pe...

Hospital ER Closures
There's a shortage of Nurses evidently. To be sure there are many factors at play here, including understaffing BEFORE COVID even happened, burnout from COVID. But no media source dares to talk about the thousands of Nurses that retired, resigned, or were fired as a result of the mandates. They keep...

Re: All you underpaid airline pilots...
Some thoughts on the thread from reading through..... 1. E-3 visas are happening for Aussies, I have met many down here. I have also met H1B visa and EB-2/3 (Green Card) sponsorship pilots and EB-2 NIW as well from various airlines. 2. The ATP-CTP course can be found for as little as $3500 USD. Medi...
