If it’s true that upgradable FO’s were passed over for TFW’s and one chooses to stay you kind of get what you deserve.
Sucks you’d have to start over from the bottom but what’s the point of staying anyways.

Re: Hiring DEC's
What's with Canadians calling Immigration 'Customs'? Same uniform but they are not synonymous with each other and each process plays its part differently. I'm sure some of you are old enough to remeber the CCRA and not the CIRA? Not sure about now but back in the day (pre-pandemic) there were plent...

The jab! The pinch! Proper injection technique has nothing to do with pinching.

AC is also planning new hire ground schools FWIW. So is westjet, in so far as to say that both WJ and AC have said they are going to not hire per say, but flow into some new positions. How ever neither have given any deets what so ever about what that will look like, both comanys havnt even recalle...

Re: 5,6,7 Pay
Any idea how long new upgraded cpts are on reserve for? Reserve is two vastly different worlds when comparing narrow body Vs. Wide body worlds. (I don’t mean pilot’s bodies). Narrow body was extremely painful. Never knew when you were done. You could arrive back at home base and be sent out on rapi...

Re: Job Posting!
Yup, loving those sub-$60,000/year 787 wages trickling their way down throughout the industry. Is it better than harassing people on the phone to get vaccinated? That was a horrible two week project that I was on. I'm still at that job, but now I'm doing something I actually enjoy there. Best part ...

Re: Transat AT seeking additional government funding after reporting $114.3M Q1 loss
Oh good, this again. Very classy to post trashing a companies' pilots in their own sub-forum. Especially ones that are facing possible unemployment. Man, I cringe when I think of the thousands of people that come across this entirely public site curious about all aspects of aviation, and what they ...

Re: Onex buying Sunwing ?
The 4 year long flat pay at Air Canada is anything but a training bond. And there is no justification for it. A training bond is an agreement between a pilot and a company to exchange training for loyalty. It needs to be paid in case the pilot leaves the said company before the expiry of the time p...

Re: Onex buying Sunwing ?
And again, Encore pilots will get screwed and will only be able to flow to swoop/sunwing which will make the career progression even longer with a C-scale. I’m wondering how many will join AC in the coming years… I can't afford to go to AC and make second year Encore FO rates. Seriously, what the f...

Re: DEC Westjet Swoop
Swoop isn’t going anywhere. Personally I am not willing to give up an ounce of negots capital on improving Swoop. It was designed to be the bottom of the barrel laughing stock that it is. It is scoped out as it is, it can’t grow past 30 and cannot have wide bodies. That's some narrow minded thinkin...

The report is out. https://www.thb.gov.hk/aaia/doc/Air%20Canada%20AC15%20Final%20Report%2028%20Dec21.pdf For the fatigue caused another incident crowd....the pilots reported that they felt fine. 4 pilots on this flight. Re: $10 fare
Except that it hasn't happened in Canada before. Jetsgo was a far cry from a ULCC model. Just because an airline sells fares at $1-50 doesn't mean they are the same. By that logic, every ULCC should have been bankrupt years ago. Oh right, Canada is different and it won't work here..until it does. L...

Bobby Axelrod bought an airline. Wags and Dollarbill are making the decisions. Did anyone actually expect anything different??
